Ola S1 air a mistake
Jainam Jain
Cons:1) their service is so bad that at any service center you go, you will only face delays, parts not available, book appointment first on ola app and many more issues. 2) so it is like they are just selling scooters and they are not at all concerned about after sales service.3) They have 3 years warranty, but when you go for replacement of a part they say they don't have part and it will take 25-30 days for replacement. They dont even have the most common part "seat" of a scooter.4) For any issue you can't directly walk-in to any service center. You first need to take appointment in their app. When you go to book an appointment they are running out of appointments. So you can't book a appointment and service centre dont hear your query without appointment.5) sometimes they will give a appointment which is 50kms away from your location. 6) service centers are running full, overloaded with faulty ola scooters. All this inconvenience I have faced in last 18 months of buying ola scooter. Pros)1) the performance is good.2) electric does not have high maintenance 3) untill you don't face a issue it will give good performance. Conclusion)Don't buy this EV, i have ola s1 air, i have seen same problems in their other variants like S1 Pro etc.

I have been using the Ola scooter for more than a year, and it has had many problems. The motor had to be replaced once, and there were issues with the MCU and BCU as well. The service experience is very poor — they don’t respect their customers. If you plan to buy an Ola scooter, you need a lot of patience; otherwise, you’ll face many difficulties in the future. Sometimes the service centre doesn’t even accept the scooter, and spare parts are often unavailable. In terms of service and build quality, Ola performs very poorly.

Balanced Verdict on Ola S1 Air – A Decent but Compromised EV
11 weeks ago
Kushagra Tiwari
The Ola S1 Air is designed as an affordable, feature-packed electric scooter for city riders. It combines modern looks with smart features but comes with noticeable compromises.Positives:The scooter scores well on design with a flat floorboard, roomy under-seat storage, and a sharp, youthful appearance. At just 108 kg, it feels light and agile, making it easy to handle in traffic. The 7-inch touchscreen adds a premium touch with features like ride modes, music, navigation, and proximity unlock, which are rare in this price segment. Range is another plus, with real-world performance between 85–110 km depending on the mode, sufficient for daily commutes.Negatives:Despite these strengths, the S1 Air struggles in critical areas. Braking relies only on drum brakes, which lack bite and stability at higher speeds. Throttle response feels inconsistent, with jerky acceleration and delayed cut-offs, which can be unsettling in stop-go traffic. Prolonged high-speed riding also causes performance throttling due to heat management issues. Build quality isn’t its strongest point either, with basic plastic panels and fit-finish concerns. Additionally, many users report software glitches and slow after-sales support, raising questions about long-term reliability.Verdict:The Ola S1 Air offers a good mix of technology, range, and everyday usability at a competitive price. It is well-suited for urban riders looking for a stylish EV with modern features and decent running costs. However, shortcomings in braking, throttle refinement, and service quality prevent it from being a segment leader.Overall, it’s a scooter that makes sense for budget-conscious riders willing to accept some compromises, but rivals like the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak may feel more dependable.Final Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

It gets breakdown time to time, sudden not starting in the middle of road, sudden handlelock, break issues and when call service centre they say bring it here or our towing charges are 3000/- , the problems occurs time to time, but they dont take any responsility of it, like its our mistake that we have bought it. Will never recommend it to anyone.

enjoying my experience with ola s1air

I have been using Ola S1Air since April 2024 and have ridden more than 10000km.I am rating this four stars as its range is about 100km(single ride), which is below as advertised by the company. I don't face any major issues. One more thing that I want to write about is the base height...which is more as compared to other scooties, and this height sometimes creates a problem.Overall enjoying my experience.

Nice bike gives a lot of features the only thing I Don't like is the company service but the scooter is overall a combination of power Design and features. I would give it 4.5 stars better than my iQube. Must own a scooter if you want to have while riding the scooter. It has a music system also. Gives a considerable range and price

Ola is a scam
Bharath
Don't buy Ola we paid 1.2 L for my S1. Now the battery is fully dead and they say we need to pay 40000 to get a new battery. I recommend Ather any day. This 1.2 L is hard-hitting. I would even recommend TVS iQube but please do not trust this scam company. Bhavesh, you lost my trust. I am now contemplating if I should sell the parts for 10K or put back the 40k for the battery and sell it.

Regret after getting it
Quaim
Never buy this bike we are regretting after getting it because it has 100 problems in it. The main problem is there don't have enough service stations due to which customers are suffering a lot. We got this bike after 1 month from the service station for a very small defect. Hands my father had to travel by external transport daily to the office.

OLA S1 Air
Shrikar
We all know enough about the OLA experience. But today, let me tell you my personal experience with this vehicle. We have bought this vehicle exactly one year ago. Some of the common issues were :1. It switched to parking mode while running.2. The screen didn't respond when it rained.3. Everything except the accelerator and brakes were unresponsive at times and I had to stop the scooter and reboot it 2-3 times. The FUNNIEST PART is - the major issue came up exactly on the 1st anniversary of our scooter. The battery has degraded in just one year. (Please note that we handled the scooter very gently and took good care.)The issue is: that the last 10% of battery (90% - 100%) was as if it didn’t exist at all. 1. After a full charge, the battery would drop by 2-3% even without the scooter being used.2. Normally, I have observed that for every 1.5 kms traveled in normal mode, 2% of the battery would be consumed. (before the issue came up) But when you ride when the battery is in the last 10 percent (90-100%) the battery percentage drops really quickly. It is dropping by 3-4 % for just 1km travelled.HONEST OPINION - OLA scooters are not a good choice for long-term vehicle owners.
