In the last report we brought you up to speed with what the TVS Scooty Zest 110 was all about: a light, small scooter marketed for the fairer sex. The Scooty Zest 110 had left me pleasantly surprised when we had it around the first time for a road test. I remembered it as a light and peppy scooter which made carving through traffic a breeze. And so I was eagerly looking forward to my first experience of living with a scooter, over an extended period of time.

Driven by the increasing demand for its scooters, TVS Motor Company has clocked a strong eight per cent growth in June 2015 as compared to the corresponding period in 2014. The company sold 2.05 lakh units in the last month, helping it retain the fourth spot in the Indian two-wheeler market.

Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company recorded a marginal one per cent growth in January 2015, compared to the same period a year ago. The company sold 1,81,516 two-wheelers in the previous month, though this number could have been much bigger hadn’t it been for the planned production cuts due to annual maintenance and Pongal holidays.

Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor, is having a good run in the Indian market as it registered a 6.7 per cent jump in its profits in the last quarter. The company’s two-wheeler division saw its standalone profit increase to Rs 94.81 crore in the second quarter of this financial year, as compared to Rs 88.84 crore it managed during the corresponding period, last year.

TVS Motor Company has launched a new fully synthetic engine oil called TVS TRU4 Synthetic 10W 30. The Hosur- based company claims that this oil meets Japanese Automotive Standards Organisation – JASO MA2 and American Petroleum Institute – API SL requirements.
