Does a cheaper price tag also bring along a lot of compromises? Or, is it just as strong a contender as the higher-spec Ola S1 Pro? We try to answer that by spending some time with the S1 Air.

Our S1 Pro is set to head back after clocking 5,800km in almost 10 months, which is a decent amount of exposure to give you a final verdict on whether you should buy it.

Many prospective buyers perceive that although a 110cc petrol scooter can do interstate/long rides, the same can’t be said for a battery-relying scooter/bike. To address this hypothesis, I took our long-termer, the Ola S1 Pro, for a Mumbai-Lonavala-Mumbai run. The total distance covered here was close to 200km. So, how did it go? Did it manage to cover the entire distance without any hiccups? You’ll find the answers to all these questions as the story progresses.

It’s been a while since we put up a report on our long-termer Ola S1 Pro. Soon after the city review back in September 2022, we found that the Ola S1 Pro made a good commuting companion. During that time though, the scooter’s use was limited to just city runabouts. Now, with the launch of MoveOS 3, the Ola scooter has become compatible with the fast-charging feature. It allows owners to quickly top-up the scooter in a few minutes and has unlocked the inter-city rides to some extent.

It’s been two months since the Ola S1 Pro entered the BikeWale long-term fleet. So far, it has clocked around 1800km in the city. And through the course, it’s witnessed various riding conditions ranging from good to bad. We’ve learned a fair bit about its software, hardware and overall build quality by now. Let’s take a look at all of it.

We recently tested the Ola S1 Pro e-scooter briefly and found out quite a few things about its performance, mechanical bits, and features. However, to get a fair idea of what it’s like to live with and test various parameters, like its range, discharge and charging time, and even its overall usability in various weather conditions, we needed to ride it extensively

The 2025 Ola S1 Pro Plus and the Roadster X Plus use the indigenously developed 4680 battery cells.

The Ola S1 Pro Sport gets a top speed of 152kmph and an IDC range of 320km.

Ola Electric has delayed the deliveries of its most affordable models — the Gig and the S1 Z — to the end of 2025. Originally slated for a May rollout, the decision was revealed during an investor call.

Ola Electric will begin deliveries of its first motorcycle, the Roadster X, on 23 May. The announcement was made via the company’s social media channels.

Prices of both variants of the S1 Pro by up to Rs. 15,000 within 10 days of the launch announcement.
