The Activa e: is the electric version of Honda’s legendary Activa ICE scooter. It comes in two variants – standard and Sync Duo. Price announcement and bookings commencement for the electric Activa will take place on 1 January and deliveries will begin from February, 2025. In the initial phase, the Activa ev scooter will be available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru followed by the expansion in other cities at a later stage.
The Activa e: comes with a pair of 1.5kWh swappable batteries which collectively deliver a claimed range of 102km on a full charge. These batteries are called Honda Mobile Power Pack e: that are developed and maintained by Honda Power Pack Energy India. The company says it has already set up battery swapping stations in Bengaluru and Delhi while Mumbai will soon receive them. These batteries power a 6kW permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that produces 22Nm of peak torque. It incorporates three riding modes – Econ, Standard, and Sport and the top speed in the latter is 80kmph. The zero to 60kmph spring timing is claimed to be 7.3 seconds.
On the feature front, the Activa e: comes equipped with a large seven-inch TFT screen with a host of connectivity features facilitated by the Honda RoadSync Duo smartphone application. The screen supports navigation and can be controlled via toggle switches placed on the handlebar. It also gets day and night modes. Honda’s H-Smart key features are also integrated which include Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock and Smart Start. As for the hardware, it rides on 12-inch alloy wheels suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs while braking is handled by a disc-drum combination.
The Honda Activa e: will be available in five colour options including Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.

This is a great scooter for daily city commute. The storage capacity is huge and Ather's connectivity features are good to use. The ride quality is also good, even in potholes and speed bumps. The seat height is perfect for me and my wife. The reverse mode function is great to get in and out of parking lots. The tow alert also saved me once when I had parked it on the street and was in a nearby store. Overall, I would recommend this scooter to anyone who is environment conscious and also wants to drive a good feature packed scooter at a fair price.

The look and feel look good. Definitely, it is worth a shot. Also, coming with the trust of Honda. I am curious about the range, but definitely good for a city ride. Its battery swap feature looks cool, which can be used without wasting time on charging. I am defined going to take a ride, and I'm likely to own it soon.

The Silent Commuter: My Honest Take on the Honda Activa e
10 weeks ago
Govind Kumar
I recently purchased the Honda Activa e, and here's my experience of it after two months of constant usage. Hope it helps others planning to shift to electric!Buying Experience:The purchase process was quite smooth. I purchased it from a Honda dealership close to my location, and the personnel were friendly, although a little slow with documentation. The delivery was about 5 days from the time of booking, which I thought could have been done faster. They provided a brief demo of the features, but I had to learn a lot on my own. Nevertheless, overall good experience.Riding Experience:The ride is super smooth and silent. At first, it felt weird not hearing any engine sound, but now I’ve gotten used to it and actually enjoy the quiet. Pickup is decent – not as punchy as some petrol scooters, but enough for daily city commuting. Suspension handles bumps pretty well, and balancing feels easy, even for beginners.Looks:It has the same Activa appearance with slight futuristic design elements. If you have witnessed the petrol Activa, there is little that has changed in terms of design. I would have liked Honda to play around a bit more with the design to make it look more "EV" like. It still looks presentable but does not get too attention – which can be a good or bad thing depending on personal preference.Performance:Performance-wise, it's better for city commutes and short distances. It has a top speed of about 50-60 kmph depending on terrain and load. Battery range is decent – I get about 70-75 km on a full charge with average usage. Not very good for long commutes, but great for daily college or office commutes.Servicing and Maintenance:Servicing is still somewhat of a question mark as it's new in the market. My initial service was fine, although the mechanics themselves appeared still acclimating to EVs. Maintenance is minimal so far – no oil change, no engine tuning. Just need to monitor battery health.Pros: • Extremely quiet and smooth ride • Low running cost (no petrol, low maintenance) • Eco-friendly and suitable for short commutes • Good brand trust with Honda• Short range, not for extended journeys • Pickup slower than petrol variants • Till now, charging facilities aren't that great • Design not different enough from previous ActivasAdvice for Other Drivers:1. Always carry a power bank or mobile charger with you if you're using Google Maps – phone + headlight uses up battery marginally faster.2. Don't let your battery dip below 15% – performance takes a hit.3. If you are a flat dweller, ensure your society permits ground floor charging.4. Drive in eco mode for improved mileage unless you prioritize instant pickup.⸻Last Word:If you seek a hassle-free, everyday electric scooter that economizes fuel expense and is appropriate for city commuting – Activa e is a good bet. It is no looker, but it is a working ride.

Amazing experience with Honda Activa e
Chandra Mohan G
I am very happy to ride a Honda Activa E for my domestic purposes. I always have concerns with Fuel costs and pollution with my earlier scooter. I am free from those problems and enjoying the electric scooter with my trusted brand Honda Activa. Thanks to Honda for launching the electric scooter but still I can comment on Honda that they are a little late into the electric segment.
