Mahindra Two Wheelers has been extensively testing their upcoming 110cc scooter over the last few months. Codenamed G101, this new scooter is Mahindra’s first scooter in the competitive 110cc segment. As per our source, this new scooter will be called the Mahindra Zesto.
The overall design of this new scooter is slightly aggressive in nature, with the front design resembling nothing in the segment. However, the headlamp and its cluster are expected to look quite similar to the segment leader Honda Activa.
The Zesto may use the same engine technology from the successful Mahindra Centuro. We, however, will get to know the exact engine details at the time of the launch. Mahindra will surely try to match the fuel efficiency of this scooter with the segment leaders, so we guess it to be at around 60kmpl. After shocking the industry with a very competitive pricing of the Centuro, we can expect Mahindra to continue this strategy with the Zesto. The launch of the Mahindra Zesto is scheduled sometime next month.
Update: A very reliable source called us to inform that the G101 scooter from Mahindra will be called Gusto and not Zesto. This makes us believe that there is another scooter in development which will be called Zesto.
