Mahindra Two Wheelers is slowly but steadily increasing its presence in the Indian two-wheeler industry. If reports are to be believed, the company might be working on a new 150cc motorcycle.

And if you look at it, it makes sense. Because Mahindra now has the Centuro which takes care of the entry-level segment and the Mojo that takes care of the premium bike segment. This new 150cc motorcycle will fill in the void the company currently has in its portfolio. Over the last couple of months, lot of two-wheeler manufacturers are making their presence felt, with the recent one being Honda with the CB Hornet 160R. Bajaj also has their AS150 and to compete with it, there is the Yamaha FZ Fi and the Suzuki Gixxer.

Mahindra would want to explore this growing segment with this new 150cc. While no prototypes of this bike have been spied till now, we believe this new Mahindra is in the early stage of development. This means that we might see a concept first and this could happen at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. And we think, Mahindra decided to unveil the Gusto 125 along with a media ride before the Auto Expo, so that the scooter launch doesn’t overshadow this new 150cc bike.

Stay tuned!
