The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in the Indian market with several styling and mechanical upgrades over its predecessor.
The 2021 model looks similar to the old motorcycle and it continues to pack styling features such as a round headlight, a round shape for the rear-view mirrors, a curvy fuel tank, a split-style saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. The list of changes includes the addition of a semi-digital instrument cluster and a USB charging port. The updated cluster includes an analogue speedometer along with an LCD screen that shows an odometer, trip meters, clock, and fuel gauge. The updated switchgear includes Meteor 350-style rotary buttons. The 2021 model also gets the Royal Enfield Tripper navigation system although that is currently available on the Chrome variants only.
The retro-style motorcycle is now available in five variants (Redditch, Halcyon, Classic Signals, Dark, and Classic Chrome) and 11 colour options – Redditch Sage Green, Redditch Grey, Halcyon Black, Halcyon Green, Halcyon Blue, Signals Marsh Grey, Signals Desert Sand, Gunmetal Grey, Dark Stealth Black, Chrome Red, and Chrome Brown.
The mechanical specifications include a 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine that is based on the company’s J-platform. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the engine is tuned to deliver 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of peak torque.
The updated hardware on the 2021 model includes a new dual cradle frame. The suspension tasks are handled by 41mm telescopic forks at the front and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the back. The braking duties are performed by single discs on both wheels. The Redditch variants, however, come with a front disc/rear drum setup. The dual disc models use dual-channel ABS while the Redditch range uses a single-channel ABS.

I am an owner of Royal Enfield. Classic 350 models for 3 years.1- The new-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a very easy motorcycle to recommend and one of our favorite Indian motorcycles launched in the past few years. The new bike is a huge improvement over the old one but still retains the simple charm and appeal of a slow-revving single-cylinder engine2- The weight distribution of this motorcycle is amazing. You won't feel like you are riding a heavy bike, even in a stationary position, it's not hard to move around. I am highly impressed with the suspension of this motorcycle.3- The Royal Enfield classic 350 gunmetal grey offers a distinctive driving experience with its timeless design and powerful engine. On the road, Its comfort level is commendable, Especially for long rides, Thanks to its relaxed riding position and well-padded seat. The best aspects include its iconic looks, Smooth performance, And solid build quality. However, Some riders might find the weight to be a downside, Especially in city traffic. In terms of performance, The classic 350 delivers satisfactory mileage, Though it might not be the most fuel-efficient in its class. Its pickup is adequate for both city commuting and highway cruising. Build quality is where the classic 350 truly shines, With sturdy construction and attention to detail. Vibrations can be noticeable at higher speeds, But they're manageable and add to the bike's character for many enthusiasts. Features are basic yet functional, With essentials like electric start and disc brakes.4- New Royal Enfield is definitely NOT a high-maintenance bike. Earlier the bikes used to be assembled by hand which created problems but now they don't pose such problems. RE bikes are one of the most rugged bikes they take on every terrain with an attitude

1. Buying Experience:Purchasing the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is often a delightful experience for enthusiasts. The brand's rich heritage and iconic status make the buying process memorable. Showrooms typically offer personalized attention, allowing buyers to explore various customization options and accessories.2. Riding Experience:The Classic 350 delivers a quintessential cruising experience. Its thumping engine and relaxed ergonomics make long rides enjoyable. The bike feels stable on highways and nimble enough for city commutes. However, it's not the best choice for high-speed performance or aggressive riding.3. Details about Looks, Performance, etc.:The Classic 350 exudes retro charm with its timeless design cues like the teardrop fuel tank, chrome finishes, and vintage-inspired instrument cluster. Powered by a torquey 346cc single-cylinder engine, it offers adequate performance for leisurely rides and occasional highway cruising. However, it may feel underpowered for riders seeking brisk acceleration.4. Servicing and Maintenance:Royal Enfield has an extensive service network, ensuring easy access to maintenance facilities. Routine servicing is straightforward, and genuine spare parts are readily available. However, occasional issues with build quality and reliability may require frequent visits to the service center.5. Pros and Cons:Pros:- Iconic design and heritage appeal- Comfortable riding posture for long journeys- Accessible service network- Customization options and aftermarket supportCons:- Reliability issues, especially with older models- Vibrations at higher speeds- Limited performance compared to modern counterparts- Higher maintenance costs compared to other bikes in its segmentOverall, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a charming motorcycle that caters to riders who prioritize style, comfort, and the joy of cruising over outright performance. Despite its shortcomings, it continues to hold a special place in the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide.

Tips for other riders
Certainly! Here are some maintenance tips for Royal Enfield Classic 350 owners: 1. Regular Oil Changes: Ensure timely oil changes according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Fresh oil helps maintain engine performance and longevity. 2. Check Tire Pressure: Monitor tire pressure regularly to ensure optimal grip, handling, and fuel efficiency. Underinflated tires can affect stability and wear unevenly. 3. Clean Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter as per the maintenance schedule. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and fuel efficiency. 4. Lubricate Moving Parts: Regularly lubricate the chain, throttle cables, and other moving parts to prevent premature wear and ensure smooth operation. 5. Monitor Fluid Levels: Check brake fluid, coolant, and other fluid levels regularly. Topping up or replacing fluids when necessary helps maintain the bike's overall performance and safety. 6. Tighten Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten bolts, nuts, and other fasteners to prevent loosening due to vibrations during riding. 7. Inspect Electrical Components: Check the battery, wiring, and electrical connections for signs of corrosion or damage. Ensure proper functioning of lights, indicators, and other electrical components. 8. Clean and Wax: Regularly clean the bike's exterior to remove dirt, grime, and road debris. Applying wax helps protect the paint and chrome finishes from corrosion and fading. 9. Suspension Maintenance: Inspect the suspension components for leaks, damage, or excessive wear. Adjust suspension settings according to riding conditions and personal preference. 10. Address Issues Promptly: If you notice any unusual noises, vibrations, or performance issues, address them promptly to prevent further damage and ensure a safe riding experience. By following these maintenance tips, Royal Enfield Classic 350 owners can keep their bikes in top condition for years to come, enjoying smooth rides and unforgettable adventures.

Classic 350 is "the beauty" and "the beast".
Himanshu Chandrakar
Owning a Royal Enfield bike is a different experience because of its bossy presence on the road and that soothing thump. It's nearly been 11 months riding this beauty, and I never regret my decision of it. I bought the Dark Stealth version, for which I had to wait for two weeks, but believe me, the wait was worth it. I purchased it on EMI for 12 months, and the process was smooth.Every inch of this bike is beautiful, and so is its riding experience. It feels like you are riding a gentle beast. No doubt it's a powerful machine because of that heavy engine, and you will feel it once you ride it. So far, the servicing experience has been good (not the best) for me. I faced some issues after servicing, but the service center helped me overall. It is a heavy machine, so it definitely requires more maintenance than any other bike, especially its rear chain sprocket, which needs proper, timely lubrication. Also, if you plan to get any matte-coloured Classic 350, be very careful about scratches. The makers need to work on its suspension and speed. These two are the cons of this bike that I faced; otherwise, everything is best about it.

Tips for other riders
Change (not top-up) engine oils every 4000 km (the company ask you to do it in 5000 km, though). Also, change the oil filter in every servicing and the air filter in every two servicing. Also, use front brakes more than the rear ones because it's a heavy bike, so rear brakes will be less effective. Properly lubricate chain sprockets, and be careful of scratches if you purchase a matte-coloured bike.
