The Nightster belongs to Harley-Davidson’s Sportster range which is meant to offer more playful and accessible motorcycles than its other higher-end line of cruisers and tourers. In essence, the Sportster family is supposed to be the entry point to this iconic American two-wheeler brand.
The main highlights of the Harley Nightster is its modern engine and contemporary features. Powering the bike is the new Revolution Max 975T engine that, with its 60-degree, V-twin layout, is designed to deliver flat torque throughout the rev band. As for the performance numbers, it pumps out 88.5bhp and 95Nm of peak torque at a low 5,750rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox. Helping the rider tame that engine performance are three riding modes that offer varying levels of ABS and traction control intervention. Harley has also equipped the bike with its unique drag-torque slip control system for enhancing the safety quotient.
The Nightster rides on a 19-16-inch alloy wheel combination that is suspended by Showa-sourced 41mm telescopic forks up front and preload-adjustable dual springs at the rear. Braking, meanwhile, is handled by a disc with Brembo calipers at both ends. In line with its old-school theme is the fully-analogue instrument cluster that just shows the crucial data.

Little beast

A powerhouse with an aggressive driving stance. Doesn't feel like a cruiser, the mid-mount pegs are small. One has to be careful at bumps. the exhaust note is decent when you start the bike but as you pull it at higher revs you will feel the exhaust Harley is known for. Also to fuel it up you have to get it on a side stand as the fuel tank is under the seat. Overall it pulls like a beast, a torque house.

Tips for other riders
Do not wear boots with metal edges at the sides as it tends to damage the alternator cover paint due to small and mid mounted footpegs.

Pros: It is a good overall package, it has a really good road presence and has lot of power even in road mode and in sports mode it performs like a naked bike other than this the servicing cost is around 15k which is normal for high-end bikes. Cons: The ground clearance is just 110 mm. The spares are really expensive.
