Reviews of Mahindra Gusto

I have been using this Scooty from Sep 2015 and Completed 36000 kms without engine overhauling. Great comfort comes due to its mono suspension shocker. Floor space helps to carry sufficient goods for personal need. Low noise silencer help for smooth ride. However Price of the scooty is good in the segment.

If it still exists, can give good competition to activa, jupiter, access etc. Mahindra should have done is to update this scooter with time. When we talk about its mileage, we know no scooter gives satisfactory mileage. On paper is different and reality is different but when we talk about other aspects it was the king. It is having better acceleration, better looks, comparatively longer-range headlights, and even better exhaust sound than its rivals. The only thing that was not good was its weight.

It's a wonderful machine in this segment it has an adjustable seat. but the only problem is heavyweight but only a strong man can handle this it's comfort level is amazing it never gets destroyed at high speeds and it's very reliable it has been approximately 8 years. I used this but the reliability is the same as it was new and its look is amazing I repainted this Scooty coz I love this so much.

It's really a good bike for daily city use and it is good for daily use purpose. It gives good mileage in its segment and it has good power which makes overtaking easier.It has a good style statement. It is comfortable and easy to handle. Braking and acceleration.I am very happy. I suggest this to all the people.

We were not sure to buy mahindra two wheeler or what.. But after saying one friend who is working in mahindra we think about buy this.. We went there and only one magenta colour was available.. We liked it and we brought it on the spot..

I suggest "service of this scooty to be done by authorized service center only.

No spare parts available in local markets.

Please keep in mind before purchase gusto. Top model of gusto is best.

Pros: in the year 2014, i had the first version of activa which my wife got during her college days. I had the chance to ride the aged, cranky, and rattling scoot for couple of months before the engine gave up finally. I was now looking for a replacement scoot with the largest tyres, high ground clearance considering the roads from delhi-gurgaon, good headlamps for riding back home from work at night, a different large or big and masculine looking scoot because everyone owned activas and jupiters and every gearless scooter looked alike. These were my basic needs with a tight budget. I did like the hero maestro and the honda aviator, but my search ended with gusto 110. There was no 125 cc then. The fiber body is easy to clean and there's no need to worry about rust.

Cons: the longest distance i rode this scooter was 420 km from delhi to amritsar. And i experienced the flaws with power. This scoot was just not built for the high speed highways. As i kept rolling the accelerator, the speedo never crossed 85kmph mark. The engine just loses its breadth there. Mileage claimed by mahindra is around 60kmpl, whereas it hardly delivers 40kmpl. The horn sound is fairly ok and sharp, but i feel the need of a little louder so that the car and bus drivers ahead of me can hear me too when i alert them. I wonder why the sound of horn gets reduced with the size of the vehicle. You compare the puny horn of a cheap hatchback car and that of a luxury sedan. Now that's unfair. The headlamp now seem less bright and i need more because i ride a lot after evening. The brakes takes some time to stop the gusto in high speed. Pedestrians and jaywalkers who has no road sense are the biggest threat to a gusto rider and you need a damn good braking system for that. The fuel lid opener is housed under the seat and you got to get off at the fuel station. How inconvenient is that when you see someone sitting on a tvs jupiter and get the job done because his scooter has the fuel lid opener on the outside. The under seat storage can't contain my full size helmet, whereas my friend always keeps his helmet under the seat of his yamaha alpha. I have to do it with a cable lock or carry the helmet with me when it is raining. Need for a front storage box like all other scooters. You don't get one for gusto even in the accessories shop

I was initially wary of the weight of this scooter as i am a lean person weighing around 52 kgs. But this is just a marvel which i am able to handle with ease. Thank you mahindra. Keep it up.

Bout in 2015, got it on Hyderabad at 61k with insurance and temp. Reg.

Overall ok bike. But the body is complete fiber and with in year there is a crack at rear lock. Spares parts are also high cost. They should be cheap compare to brand value in market and the bike performance. Also the service
