The Continental GT 650 is a true embodiment of Royal Enfield's heritage while offering a contemporary riding experience.
First and foremost, the design of the Continental GT 650 is a head-turner. It harks back to the cafe racer era with its retro-inspired styling, low-slung handlebars, and a single, humped seat. The attention to detail, from the chrome accents to the classic paint schemes, is evident, and it exudes an aura of nostalgia.
The heart of the Continental GT 650 is its 648cc parallel-twin engine. This engine is a gem, offering a perfect blend of torque and power for an enjoyable riding experience. The thumping exhaust note is music to my ears, and it gives the bike a distinctive character that is unmistakably Royal Enfield.
On the road, the Continental GT 650 is a joy to ride. It's not an overly powerful sportbike, but it doesn't need to be. The torque is ample, and it's delivered smoothly throughout the rev range. Whether I'm cruising on the highway or navigating city streets, the bike feels responsive and agile.
One of the standout features of this motorcycle is its comfortable riding position. The low-slung handlebars and rear-set footpegs put the rider in a slightly sporty yet relaxed posture, perfect for longer rides. The seat, despite its cafe racer appearance, is surprisingly comfortable for extended journeys.
The chassis and suspension offer a good balance between handling and ride comfort. The bike feels stable in corners, and the suspension absorbs bumps and imperfections in the road fairly well. It's not a hardcore sportbike, but it's more than capable of carving through twisty roads with confidence.
Maintenance and reliability have been relatively hassle-free. Royal Enfield has made significant improvements in this department, and the Continental GT 650 is a testament to their commitment to quality and durability.
As for fuel efficiency, it's quite reasonable for a motorcycle of this size and power. Of course, it's not a fuel-sipping commuter, but it won't break the bank either.
In conclusion, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a fantastic blend of classic style and modern performance. It offers a unique riding experience that harks back to the golden age of cafe racers while meeting the demands of today's riders. It's a motorcycle that not only turns heads but also puts a smile on the rider's face every time the throttle is twisted. Whether you're a cafe racer enthusiast or simply looking for a stylish and enjoyable ride, the Continental GT 650 is a worthy choice.

Unique cafe rider bike and mainly chrome Mr. Clean looks unique on the roads and Power is an amazing and affordable 650cc bike in India that must be only gt650. The exhaust note sound is very nice and it makes me ride my bike often and more importantly, good service is done in Royal Enfield. I prefer gt 650 over a Kawasaki because the service cost will be higher as i had a Kawasaki z250

An amazing bike with tremendous power and torque outputs.
The 211 kgs are heavy for a newbie or sometimes even an experienced rider to handle whereas the exhausts get scratched by someone or the other on the roads...
The looks and sound are enough for one to purchase this bike, whereas the insane acceleration is love.
Service and maintenance need to be done at least twice a year and the engine oil changed every 3 months, along with chain and sprocket checked.

The bike is a phenomenal one had a great experience owning it. Looks and performance is the X factor of it. Ride comfort, weight and mileage or the drawbacks. I service the bike twice a year and it costs 2.5k on average. Fun to ride a bike. Suitable for leisure rides and definitely not suitable for city commutes. Touring can be done without any aches till 400kms. Above everything the bike will create an emotional connection with us. That's all that matters at the end of the day.

  • Best Cafe Racer bike under 650CC segment

It is a beast motorcycle. It is so powerful. A little bit aggressive riding posture but you will not be uncomfortable at all. The engine heats up quite a bit and you can feel the heat on your legs if you are riding it in the city. The built quality is so good. It is a solid motorcycle. Weight is quite a bit heavy but you will get used to it. Overall I can say it is the best motorcycle under the 650CC segment.

  • GT-650 | Read if you're buying one.

    Varun Singh

1- Buying Experience - In the excitement of buying the bike, I booked from two locations i.e. Raja Garden and Jhandewalan, I was told to wait for 4-5 months at both locations though people at Raja Garden deceived by saying something different over the call and changing statements when met in person. I ignored it all just for the excitement of buying the bike despite not being provided the test ride.
2- Riding Exp: Well for obvious reasons, I could not revi it to the full during the engine breaking time i.e up to 500 Km/first service and it heated like anything. It felt as if I am sitting on a furnace until the first service. The first-time Cafe Racer rider will take up to 2-3 weeks to adapt to its nature (Committed posture) and in the first few weeks, you'll kind of re-evaluate your decision of buying this particular bike :P Man... those were some hard weeks, you name the body part and it was paining.. be it wrists, back, hands, neck, shoulder.. everything pained and it felt more of a punishment rather than an enjoyable bike ride. But when you get used to it, you'll love every bit of it. You gotta have it for weeks/months to decide whether it's a comfortable bike or not and it is one of the reason why many YouTubers or rather bike reviewers says that it is not a comfortable bike. After the first service, you'll feel the power it possesses and how fun and fast it can leave others behind while being a calm-looking cute little motorcycle. You can ride it both ways a hooligan or a gentleman in his suit.
3- Looks and performance- Need I say anything? Nah, GT 650 is pure love in terms of looks and it will always be. I chose the originally launched Rocker Red color and it looks stunning, obviously, the Mr. Clean is surely a head turner but paying an extra 32K for just that piece of Tank is non-sense. Go get it wrapped or buy a Chrome Tank for 11-12K :P The performance is a bit diluted and tamed for the low end. The sweet spot is mid and high-end. So beginners won't feel the difficulty in adapting to the power provided you're not twisting the throttle hard.
4- Servicing and maintenance- There is so much going on for the electricals and ECU, so you better get that extended warranty with it since those sensors and units cost a bomb. Servicing costs are about 3.5K when the oil change service is done which includes the oil filter etc. The service period is 10K followed by general look-up and top-up service at 5K intervals. so, all in all, it is equivalent to the smaller segment RE's 350s.
5- Pros - Looks, reliable engine, VFM, legacy.
Cons- frequent refueling (should have had larger fuel tank considering its mileage), lack of accurate fuel gauge (current one works weirdly and cannot be relied on), least add one Instrument Console from Hunter (Gear Position, Clock, etc) while maintaining the retro look.

This particular model of Royal Enfield is a flagship model. It is a combination of both power and comfort. Very efficient for long and adventurous tours. The servicing and maintenance cost of this bike in its segment is comparatively low. The look of this bike is awesome and eye catching. Till date I haven’t found any cons of this bike. It's a great and budget-friendly cafe racer bike that is very popular on road trips and also local riding, the way of looking royal enfield continental GT650 is a killer machine, a nice overall, and the shifting gear and road task is way better than other bikes, but problem is pillion, it is a single riding cafe racer bike, fine with the 650 cc machine but royal Enfield manufacturer need to set them as soon as possible and remanufacture a safe and comfortable bike to be the best cafe racer bike and that will be really happened I guess

This is the best bike you can get under the 3 to 4 lakh price range its mileage is arguably one of the best mileages if you compare it to other 650cc bikes but its top speed is less compared to others on the road price would probably be around 3.7 to 4 lakhs if your looking for speed and torque this is the bike for you one.
