    Spider Man

1- Ride is good but seating is not comfortable
2- I buy it for approx. 1.15 lakhs so it is not that much compared to petrol but if Ola reduce its price to Rs.95000/-or 1 lakh then it is very good
    3- Looks great
4- Very little need for servicing and maintenance
5- If you get this for 1 lakh then take it

  • Dont buy this Ola scooter

    Rajan Lakhani

So much bad management and service for buying this Ola. Send me a mail for availability for me and then they can't deliver the scooter on this date. Then his customer supporter give me an excuse for delivery and say about her policy on demand as he required.
As per my experience please don't buy this Ola scooter.

  • Another scrap in the face of gold mask

    Shravan

The plus point of the scooter is:
The pickup and acceleration are good.
    The top speed is unmatchable.
The strong braking has disc brakes on both wheels.
    Fast charging.
Very stable as the battery is placed below. So, easy to ride with zero vibration. More easy to ride than a petrol scooter.
The high-quality cells used in scooters and high-quality motors.
Navigation music and many security features that Ola is offering in its scooter.
Big boot space. You don't need to carry bags to market.
    Now coming to the cons.
The build could have been improved. Currently build is moderate but could have been stronger.
As the scooter is a high-speed scooter, it should have ABS braking.
Suspension especially front gives average performance. The twin-arm suspension should have been better in front. So, my suggestion is don't do much off-roading with the Ola scooter.
Ola should have provided the key.
    BMS bugs:
The vehicle shows the wrong battery percentage and it has a bug in BMS so you cannot trust what the range scooter shows if you actually get that.
Overheating issue: If you have to climb a steep incline, then the battery will get overheated if the incline is very high and switch to eco mode. Also, if you use hypermode for some time battery will get heated, and switch to eco mode. There is no proper thermal management in the scooter. Also, once the Battery gets heated, the rider has to stop the vehicle and allow it to cool. It doesn't cool while riding.
Panels could have been shorter, currently, large panels are used, and in case if there is a dent or crack a large panel section would require replacement.
Ola didn't provide a center stand or other accessories. But this should have been provided. Currently, the single stand doesn't give much confidence. There have been a few cases wherein, a person parked his vehicle in a single stand and it fell. So customers have to ensure their stand is properly positioned.
Customer service is very pathetic and troublesome. Ola should have a service center in all districts. Currently, in case there is an issue Ola gets the vehicle towed to the service center. No nearby service center. And they have a habit of ignoring calls and emails in case they don't have an answer or they don't want to acknowledge. Customer service is a very slow and troublesome process.
There have also been a few cases reported wherein the vehicle went in reverse at high speed when the vehicle was set to the front. This is the most risky issue.
There have also been many software bugs.
One big issue, which Ola must fix is transparency. Ola most times doesn't give correct timelines. They use the word “soon". e.g. If you ask when will they do the permanent registration of vehicle they will answer “It will be done soon". I purchased a scooter 2.5 months ago, my permanent registration is pending. They always replied that they were working on it whenever I asked them about permanent registration. Upon raising this concern multiple times for a month, they responded that they would get a solution in 24 hours and it has been 3–4 days, again they didn't call back. Customer service will make you frustrated.
The higher the features more the issues.
Customer service is one of the worst that I have experienced. They will not respond to your mail, tweet, or call in case they don't know how to resolve your issue. This is the reason a man finally burnt his Ola scooter. You can watch his video on Pradeep on Wheels channel.
Fame 2 subsidy scam: Those who ordered S1, got locked S1 pro and this company claimed an extra subsidy of 15k in the customer's name without providing the customer any benefit.
Every user faces some or the other issue. Most of the Ola users are frustrated and not happy with the purchase.
My advice and genuine opinion: Don't buy it now. It's not a worth-the-money scooter as of now. You will simply waste your money by purchasing it. If you are paying a premium price, you deserve the best. And surely you don't deserve bugs, issues, and pathetic customer service which currently Ola is sure to give you. Currently, it's a half-baked risky product with pathetic customer service.

Honestly, OLA electric, as a company, and their products ain't ready for the mass market! I am stating this based on recent sour news about setbacks in delivery dates and consumer complaints on product quality. They may have manufacturing infra and may also have figured out global supply chain but they are not really prepared to tackle demand and hype which they imposed on people. They went ahead with mass production with limited amount data on field failure and analysis on lesson learnt. In a way, S1 is still in development phase. So I would recommend, anyone who is looking for a electric scooter, to look for other options in market, especially from mainstream two wheeler manufacturers.

  • Decent hardware poor software.

    Max Demon

I booked s1 pro on dussera 2021 with an expectation to be delivered by the year-end, booking amount was 500 rs so wasn't much wishful, as I booked a tesla model 3 on 2016 which is never delivered in India (1000 usd booking). Anyways was surprised to receive a mail near holi to make final payments and my scooter will be delivered by may end. I was excited and made full payment and they did abide by the promise.
The delivery experience was smooth and coordinated and I faced no hassles in getting delivered at home in nagpur apart from a last-minute glitch of having the wrong scooter delivered but it was an honest mix-up as both same colors and assigned for a similar area. The initial impression of the scooter was very negative, having owned a honda dio for over a decade I was at least expecting my helmet to fit in the trunk which, despite being spacious wasn't the right size for storing my regular-sized helmet. And where is the center stand? it's an absolute must but if they did for the sensor and software issue. At least they had provision for the same and I got an aftermarket stand installed separately.
The driving experience is definitely an upgrade from traditional ice - the ride height, suspension system, dual disc brakes, wide and comfortable seats, and peppy motor make it check all boxes in the ride quality section. Its looks are unique and definitely head turner! software is another matter however ev makes it 40% software and 60% hardware. And the software is buggy - the charge level problems, occasional lags in the interface, and delay in promised updates do not look good on ola's books.
I haven't faced any maintenance needs and do not expect any necessity to service since there aren't any mechanical parts. The range is great and I do manage to get about 135-140 on a single charge as promised true range. Perhaps if I use regen braking more aggressively I may be able to manage more juice out of it, but I don't feel the need since I mostly cruise and only use it for leisure travels.
My friend's test drove this scooter as well, and they were all thrilled and enjoyed the ride! almost everyone mentioned the negative news coverage this is getting which I can understand by the framing effect people have.

  • Not a value for money scooter

    1. Purchased my friend’s booked one since my booking got canceled after 10 months without any reasons/intimation…when enquired, their reps were not clear about the same and they just dragged for a couple of more months. Their customer support is unprofessional
    2. The scooter looks good/attractive however the build quality is very poor and not sturdy. Not a value-for-money scooter
    3. The speed is good but not easy to control the top speed
    3. Range is good
    4. The reverse option does not work properly sometimes
    5. It’s just hype created in the market and not a worthwhile scooter since I sold it after a few months due to poor performance (unreliable) and their pathetic customer service. I bought ather and it’s really a premium scooter, even the bajaj chetak and tvs iqube are much better than ola.

  • Beast ride

    Nitin Malik

It's very nice to drive brakes are great no other vehicle drives like s1pro including in hyper mode it becomes a beast I love to drive.
There are small issues also that can be taken care of like side stand issues lock issues and sometimes software hangs but slowly and gradually company is improving and taking care of issues and eliminating them. As it is the first product it awesome scooter compared to other manufacturers in terms of features, and range speed looks.

    Chethan

    Chethan
