Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the new Splendor Plus XTEC in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle benefits from Bluetooth connectivity that offers incoming and missed call alerts, new message alerts, two trip meters with the Real-Time Mileage Indicator, and a low fuel indicator. Here we list the top alternatives to the Splendor Plus XTEC in a similar price range.

Honda Livo (Rs 73,938)

The Honda Livo is a premium 110cc commuter from the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer that packs a stylish design and bold graphics. The feature list is at par with its rivals, and the Livo packs a halogen headlight, semi-digital instrument cluster, and combined braking system. This motorcycle is powered by a 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 8.67bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.30Nm at 5,500rpm. It is available in two variants (drum and disc) and four colours.

TVS Star City Plus (Rs 71,205)

The TVS Star City Plus, too, competes in the 110cc commuter segment. TVS Motor Company has equipped the motorcycle with an LED headlight, which gives it an edge over select rivals. The feature list also comprises a semi-digital instrument cluster and combined braking system. The Star City Plus is powered by a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 8.08bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.70Nm at 4,500rpm. This model is available in three variants (single-tone, dual-tone, and disc) and five colours.

Honda Activa 6G (Rs 71,432)

The Honda Activa 6G is the top-selling scooter in the Indian market that is available in a price range similar to the Splendor Plus XTEC. Like its rivals, the Activa 6G packs features such as an LED headlight and combined braking system. The instrument cluster, however, packs a fully analogue setup. It is powered by a 109.51cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.68bhp at 8,00rpm and 8.79Nm at 5,250rpm. The Activa 6G is available in two variants (Standard and Deluxe) and eight colours.

TVS Jupiter 110 (Rs 71,571)

The TVS Jupiter 110 is a family scooter that is available in six variants. The top-spec version benefits from SmartXonnect Bluetooth system, however, it retails at a more premium price tag than the Splendor Plus XTEC. The colour palette includes 17 options although the availability varies depending on the colour. All variants use a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that delivers 7.27bhp at 7,000rpm and 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 (Rs 81,389)

Bajaj Auto’s entry-level Pulsar model is available at a slightly higher price than the Splendor Plus XTEC. For that premium, the Pulsar 125 packs higher performance and an appealing design that is inspired by the bigger Pulsar variants. The mechanical specifications include a 124.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 11.64bhp at 8,500rpm and 10.8Nm at 6,500rpm. It is available in four variants and three colours.
