Latest News about Honda CBR650F

Just a few weeks ago, Honda had revealed that it was going to locally assemble the CBR 650F in India, from kits imported from Thailand. Now, reports indicate that the company is planning to launch the middleweight supersports motorcycle by March, next year. As completely knocked down (CKD) motorcycles fall in a lower tax bracket as compared to completely built units (CBU), the CBR 650F will be the most affordable four-cylinder motorcycle in the Indian market.

Our regular readers might know about the Honda CBR650F making its way to India officially next year. First unveiled for the Indian market at 2014 Auto Expo, the CBR650F is the first big bike to be assembled in India. Now, the top honcho of Honda has claimed that it will consider assembling more big bikes depending on the performance of the CBR650F in the country. 

Giving momentum to its ‘Make in India’ campaign, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that it is going to start manufacturing the CBR650F in India, from early next year. This announcement has fueled rumours that the Japanese manufacturer will be launching the CBR650F in India, in the fourth quarter of this financial year.

The Honda CBR650F was showcased for the Indian market at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Japanese manufacturer will launch this motorcycle in India, making it the first Honda bike to be officially sold in the middle-weight category. 

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India showcased the CBR650F at the 2014 Auto Expo and confirmed that it will produce this motorcycle in India in 2015. Now as per zauba.com, the company has imported one CBR650F from Thailand for research and development purpose, making us believe, the company has started working on the bike for the Indian market.
