About Monster 1200 S Stripe

The Ducati Monster 1200 S Stripe is a limited edition version of the litre-class street fighter. Painted in a special race-inspired red and white livery, the Monster 1200 S is the most expensive streetfighter in Ducati’s line-up.

The Monster 1200 S Stripe’s livery differentiates it from the standard version. The white double side-stripe on mudguard, tank and passenger seat cover beautifully complements the bike’s trademark Ducati red paint scheme. The frame is also painted in red, though the wheels get a contrasting black finish.

Despite featuring a host of modern technological upgrades, the Monster 1200 S Stripe continues with the raw DNA of its predecessors. The exposed trellis frame, chiselled fuel tank, stubby exhaust and the oval headlamp give the Monster 1200 S Stripe its raw appeal. Based on a new platform, the Monster 1200 S Stripe is powered by a 1198cc 11-degree Testastretta L-Twin cylinder. This powerplant delivers 145bhp and 125Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.

The Monster 1200 S Stripe features an expansive set of electronic aids including riding modes, power modes, ABS, traction control, ride by wire throttle and an anti-theft system. The Ducati Monster 1200 S Stripe competes with other litre-class streetfighters like the Triumph Speed Triple R, MV Agusta Brutale 1090, BMW S1000R and the Aprilia Tuono V4.
