The Ducati Monster 1200 is the biggest model in the range. And with the introduction of the new Monster, that gets heavy cosmetic and feature updates, the Monster 1200 seems to have stuck to its roots.
It continues to have a brawny and muscular fuel tank, oval headlamp and a trellis frame. And betwixt the frame is a 1,198cc L-twin engine that produces 147bhp at 9,250rpm and a healthy 123Nm torque at 7,750rpm. To put a leash on all that power, the six-axis IMU manages traction control, cornering ABS as well as ride modes and wheelie control. The top-spec Monster 1200 S comes with an up-down quickshifter as standard. In addition to these features, the Ducati Monster 1200 also sports a TFT dash and LED lighting all around.
As for cycle parts, Ducati has fitted the Monster 1200 with Ohlins full-adjustable suspension on the S model, whereas braking hardware is sourced from Brembo.
While the 2021 Ducati Monster 1200 has been available in international markets for a while now, we can expect the motorcycle to make its debut in India sometime next year.
