I own this bike for a month. I am very satisfied with the engine performance. Stability is very good, especially on highways. In the city, the ride comfort is very good. Seat position is comfortable when driving in city areas. The engine is superbly refined and powerful. Very few vibrations at top speed. Handling is also very smooth.

Here’s a look at the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150, a popular sporty commuter in India. Let’s break down what makes it appealing, where it falls short, and what real users are saying.---Highlights & StrengthsFierce Styling & FairingWith its sharp aerodynamic fairing, split seat, LED lighting, and alloy wheels, the Gixxer SF delivers strong visual appeal. Experts often praise it for being the “Baby GSX-R” of the segment.Comfort Meets Sporty RidingThe raised clip-on handlebars offer a slightly leaned yet comfortable posture—great for both city commuting and highway cruising.Engine & HandlingPowered by a 155 cc air-cooled engine delivering around 13.6-14.6 PS and 13.8 Nm torque, it offers smooth, linear power delivery. The lightweight design (~148 kg) and refined suspension (41 mm front forks, adjustable mono-shock) make for confidence-inspiring handling.Fuel EfficiencyRiders report mileage figures between 35–55 km/l, depending on riding conditions and habits. A typical range is 40–45 kmpl, with some experiencing 41 kmpl in aggressive testing conditions.Features & ValueA digital console with smartphone connectivity (calls, alerts, navigation), LED lighting, single-channel ABS, and competitive pricing (around ₹1.47–1.64 lakh ex-showroom) contribute to its solid value proposition.---Areas for ImprovementNot Track-Bike FastThough sporty-looking, performance doesn’t match up to pure sports bikes like the Yamaha R15 or CBR150R.Fairing LimitationsThe windscreen could offer better wind deflection, especially when riding at high speeds.Single-Channel ABS OnlyWhile ABS is a plus, having only a single-channel (front wheel only) is less advanced compared to some rivals with dual-channel systems.Pillion Ride & ErgonomicsMany riders find it feels heavy with a pillion onboard, and the pillion comfort is mediocre.---What Users Are SayingPositive ReviewsAs a beginner-friendly bike“Good, comfortable, stunning design... less vibration... great value for money.” Rated 4.5/5 by someone who highlighted decent mileage (~45 kmpl).Overall satisfaction“Smooth and refined engine, good build, excellent braking... great for daily commuting.”.Criticisms & ConcernsService experiences & reliabilityOne owner reported engine issues and high maintenance within months of use, eventually selling at a loss. Another noted recurring maintenance needs include fuel pump replacement and noisy chain sprockets.Overheating & ABS quirksSome users on Reddit mention the bike gets hot and have ABS sensor issues, causing vibration and brake stiffness over rough patches. Another shared that heat affects pickup and brakes.Others’ perceptionsComments on Reddit vary—some found it underwhelming ("performs like a commuter") and uncomfortable, while others stated "overheating" as the only issue. A more balanced view highlighted Suzuki's general reliability in India.---Verdict: Who Is the Gixxer SF 150 Best For?Rider Profile Reasons to ConsiderNew riders & daily commuters Comfortable ergonomics, mileage, value, and simple yet sporty looksStyle-focused riders, Fairing, and LED lighting make it stand out in trafficBudget-conscious buyers, Competitive price compared to fully-faired rivalsLong-distance commuters, Stable ride, and fairing aid at highway speedsCaveats:Not ideal if you prioritize outright power or sporty track performance.Pillion comfort and ABS limitations are noteworthy.Make sure to test-ride and assess local service reliability before choosing.---Final ThoughtsThe Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is a well-rounded, stylish 150cc sporty commuter offering robust fuel economy, comfortable ergonomics, and strong value for money. While it’s not the most powerful or advanced in its class, it excels in daily usability and reliability—provided you address potential ABS, heat, or service concerns with proper servicing and care.Thinking of alternative options or want comparisons with rivals like the R15 or CBR150? Let me know—happy to help!

Suzuki Gixxer SF Ride Connect - OBD 2B
Yash
I recently bought a new Gixxer SF 2025 OBD2B model in March. As it's been 3 months, I can tell ...the bike is comfortable (not that much but better than other sports bikes) and the mileage I am getting before service was very less, but after service I am getting a mileage of approx 42-47 as I do not do rash driving. Besides... it has some cons, just like the windshield is very small .... it didn't have hazard lights, and after the speed of 110, it vibrates hard to feel....overall the windshield and hazards can be installed aftermarket, and overall it's the best bike under 2 lakh in a full-fledged bike. If you can manage to increase some budget, go for 250, it's better and has liquid cooling for better cooling.
