Excellent bike with decent mileage

The buying experience is ok. Riding is very smooth and refined when purchased. The engine is less noisy. Looking wise good feels like a beast. Seat comfort is a concern on this bike. Pillion comfort is not good and not suitable for long rides. The service is a bit expensive. Pros: performance and power. Cons: pillion comfort.

Pure balance between power and mileage bike in 200cc segment
1 year ago

I drove my hornet 2.0, 37000+ kms ( in 18 months) since april 2021. Including city and highway. Great handling, the pure balance between power & mileage. I'm getting mileage of 54-55 kmpl. My bike completed 7th scheduled service. In which both set of break-pad, chain set, and gear indicator switch get changed. Average service charges between 500-700 rs . I am very happy with this bike's great pickup and handling.. Build with a great honda engine.

Good pick up, initial torque, sporty look, decent mileage, all led lamps, hazard light

The power is superb & initial torque is delivered, mainly the centre stand hits the speed breaker (with pillion),though the pillion is little uncomfortable than other bikes & the mileage is quiet good (45kmpl) if you can drive under 65 speed with low rev you can get 50 km/l. But the back disc is a problem. disc sound comes when rain occurs. Head light is good but in rainy condition it goes blind

Change engine oil after every 4000kms, lube the chain after every 500kms, if u don't use the bike please start the bike and run some time before it overcool or battery drain, check the air pressure or it may effect the mileage and pickup

Superb riding experience

This is the best bike that money can buy under 1.7 lakhs. On paper, it doesn't feel any competitive but once you ride this bike, it gives you the most satisfying riding experience. I did a test ride on multiple bikes but this bike gave me the best riding experience. PROS:1. Excellent handling quality2. Excellent ride experience3. Decent performance according to 184cc engine4. Good for short riders. I am 5'3" and I can easily ride this bike with ease5. Excellent braking on both sides. 6. Good throttle response7. Good enough comfort for daily commuting. I travel 32 km daily for my college and I feel no pain riding on this bike. In fact, I enjoy riding this bike more.8. Excellent build quality.9. Excellent quality in every aspect10. Golden Upside-down fork manufactured by shows on the front suspension. Only a few bikes under 2 lakhs offer this quality suspension.11. One of the widest tires (on both front and rear sides) in the segment (under 2 lakhs) which provides excellent handling quality.12. Huge petal disk brake on both front and rear side which is calibrated by Nissin which provides excellent braking.13. Good instrument cluster with basic features.14. All LED setups. If that matters to you.15. And of course, amazing mileage compared to the performance it gives. On average, I get 50-55 kmpl.CONS:1. No dual-channel ABS. Only single-channel ABS.2. Stiff suspension setup. Although it improves handling quality.3. Not catchy exhaust note if that matters to you.4. Good engine refinement but not as good as Honda standards.5. Only Air-cooled engines.6. Poor headlight throw area. The brightness of the light is good though.7. Not catchy rearview mirror design.Overall you can buy this motorcycle without thinking too much about it. But it's better to have a test ride on this bike if this bike suits you or not.

Do wash and lube the chain between 500 km-1000 km at your own or any local garages. I did visit my nearby authorized service center and I feel cheated. They wash the chain with high-pressured water which will damage the O-rings in the chain and lubed it with used engine oil which will make a real mess with lots of dust and debris and provides very poor lubrication. Can't say about other Honda-authorised service centers. Also do adjust the headlight alignment as soon as you buy this motorcycle. And also adjust the pressure in both tires. The showroom fills the tire with air more than it requires which results in more stiffer riding experience. The optimal pressure for the front it 25psi and for the back 29psi.
