    Honda CBR650R Summary

Price: Honda CBR650R price for its variant - CBR650R Standard starts at Rs. 11,14,362. The mentioned CBR650R price is the average ex-showroom.

Honda CBR650R is a sports bike available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. The Honda CBR650R is powered by 649cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 93.8 bhp and a torque of 63 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Honda CBR650R comes up with anti-locking braking system. This CBR650R bike weighs 209 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15.4 liters.

The CBR650R is Honda’s middle-weight sports touring motorcycle. It’s globally popular for being comfortable, practicable, and refined while the new one brings in the convenience of Honda’s patented E-Clutch.

The E-Clutch system uses servo motors mounted on a redesigned casing to assist in gear shifting and to engage the clutch automatically when the motorcycle is stationary. This helps reduce rider fatigue in stop-and-go traffic. Riders still have the option to switch off the system and operate the clutch manually, if preferred.

In terms of design, the 2025 CBR650R gets sharper and more aggressive styling than its predecessor. Key highlights include twin LED headlights, new side panels with sharper cuts, and a mildly upswept tail section. Powering the CBR650R is a 649cc, inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 94bhp and 63Nm of torque. This engine is known for its smooth and linear power delivery and is unique in this segment as it uses a four-cylinder layout.

The bike uses a steel frame with a Showa SFF-BP USD fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 310mm discs up front and a single disc at the rear.

The Honda CBR650R E-Clutch competes against the Triumph Daytona 660 in the Indian market.

    • Good Things

      • 650cc engine offers fantastic top-end performance
      • Quite agile on a race track
      • Overall reliability is high
    • Could be Better

      • Limited sales, service reach
      • Priced quite high

    BikeWale's Take

The new CBR650R from Honda is a middle-weight sports bike known for its excellent refinement, fantastic top-end performance and great reliability. But all this comes at a hefty price tag. Plus, the sales and service reach for the bike is limited in India.

        Best in the Segment

I’ve ridden this bike, and it’s one of the best-sounding inline-4 machines in the 600cc segment. The power delivery is decent not terrifying, but it really comes alive at the top end. The engine runs incredibly smooth, almost like butter.
Compared to the older version, this model now comes equipped with better electronics, which is a big plus. As for the design, it’s subjective while it may not look very bulky in photos, in real life it does have a bit more presence.

This is one of the best bikes I own - fyi I own 15 bikes and one of them is a zx-10r and I also have a ducati, so I'm talking about. The Honda CBR650R is a great value for money bike and it gives you a great ROI of fun and enjoyment. I suggest all to consider buying this bike, if not this go for the harley davidson 440dx.
