Hello biker folk.. I am 32yrs and have used almost all company motorcycles of India. After several research and users reviews i first bought a a yamaha bike fz16 in 2009. That's right long back and since then i didn't need another company to change to. Yamaha fz model itself is a thoroughly tested model and have proven this by its success over years.After using it for more than 8 yrs, at the time for me to upgrade to a higher cc bike luckily yamaha has launched its bigger brother yamaha fz 25.This was exactly the higher segment yamaha was lacking since launch of honda cbr 250. But as usual after thorough testing it has launched a perfect quarter liter bike for Indian bikers. 1. My buying experience: i was shocked to know the price of fz25 which is just around 140k onroad hyderabad (where even 150cc honda hornet is more than a lakh). Which beats all 250 cc bike prices hands down.I mean what a competitive pricing for that quality. It fit under my budget so happily bought it in march 2017.2. Riding experience: my experience was exhilarating with its superb mid range pickup. That 20.6 bhp comes in handy from signal to signal revving also. It just scoops the available space before you with ease. Road grip and breaking was also satisfactory. Though, abs is a small lacking part. I would say its only on papers. In actual breaking i didn't feel any fear of skid or lack of abs. Front and rear disc brakes are enough for this bike as it weighs less. With only 148 kg its braking in sudden requirements was safe enough.3. Looks & performance: looks wise its like a big brother of fz series with more sharp corners and huge body. The make, and seating all sits perfect for a naked 250cc bike. Its suits well from a student to middle age employee also. Just that colour combinations could have more choices but mine is ballistic blue which i love a lot. People gaze at the looks when kept in a parking lot.Performance wise i am more than satisfied as its a perfect 20.6 bhp bike which gives you just enough to eat-up any empty road before you with ease. I observe other higher bhp bikes but brothers i say in Indian roads this is all that's needed. Because not a single bike with this pickup also balances on fuel efficiency and give you more than 40kmpl. I bet you can do as much research as you want and not find a perfectly balanced bike with very good pickup (as low weight according to power to weight ratio) and also amazing 40kmpl mileage.You may see examples: kawasaki ninja 250 - 20 to 25kmpl. honda cbr 250 - only 25 to 28kmpl. ktm duke 250 - only 25 to 28kmpl. tvs rtr 4v 200- around 38kmpl. bajaj 200 ns - 30 to 35kmpl. hero karizma - 35 to 38kmpl. Where as my yamaha fz 25 gives- yamaha fz25 - 38 to 42kmpl. yes, royal enfield 350 - has similar 38 to 40 kmpl but it is not at all comparable with this section of revving bikes as it comes in cruiser segment.Pickup wise yamaha stands decent as it gives 20.6 bhp at low rpm. You can compare it with other bikes. Giving good power at low rpm is also important as that gives more life to engine. Which means unlike its competitors, even after 5 yrs and 50k kilometres your bike can be at same ride quality and performance.4. Servicing & maintenance: service of yamaha was always pocket friendly since my experience with the company from 2009. All parts of fz25 are built with same high standard materials as used in its other models. So compared to bajaj, tvs and hero companies servicing is to my full satisfactory. Except for some recent recall for a engine cover bolt change, all is well and good. (in my personal word here, i would say only two companies in India now have the same topnotch make. They are honda and yamaha. I would say they are both equal in maintenance and standards).I happily say that any repairs with fz25 wouldn't burn a hole in my pocket.5. Pros & cons: pros: 1)yamaha itself as am satisfied with its high resale value. I sold my well maintained fz16 after 8.5 years and 50k kms @ 37k which proves its resale. 2)best feature is its whooping 42kmpl mileage which my bike gave between 60 to 70 kms speeds. 3)overall performance wise and pickup in mid range am very satisfied. Perfect for indian traffic and road conditions. 4)low maintenance costs as you need not run for service regularly. Excellent build quality. 5)best pricing. It is definitely a best buy at just 140k for all the good we get. cons: 1)eminent lack of 6th gear after 80km speed. I wondered why they didn't give a 6th gear for a 250cc bike where as they already have it for a 150cc r15. This is by far the only thing i hate about this bike. 2)lack of abs. Though its disc brakes feel safe enough, having abs would be an extra feature to keep mind at ease. but i guess this is solved in the next version as i heard 2018 fz25 models have abs option. those are the only two cons i feel about this amazing fz25. My verdict: my fellow biker brothers, if you want a bike of v.Good 20.6 bhp powered, stylish roaring bike to beat traffic or for tour in country roads which also has a superb mileage of 42kmpl and amazingly comes with pocket friendly price @ 140k-onroad, just blindly go grab a yamaha fz25.

Tips for Yamaha FZ25

I would suggest a regular chain lubrication with original yamaha products and engine oil change at every 3000 kms.

Need more gears

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

Honest Review After Driving 39000 km In 5 Years

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.

This bike is awesome and bs6 variant easily get 40 mileage on highway and this bike really value for money and I bought this bike 2021 and my bike is 2years now engine oil change after 5000km and I ride this bike 24000 in 2years Yamaha engine us most reliable and smooth this bike easily reach 120 in 15sec.

Better than royal enfield. Superb engine refinement, mileage around 37-40 kmpl which is amazing. Beats all royal enfield bikes in performance and re is nowhere close to yamaha's engine refinement, however, I know RE does not make performance bikes. And even in 250cc segment fz25 is little underpowered but atleast its better than RE . The most amazing part is engine refinement which is what Yamaha is known for and best mileage which are my top reasons to buy this bike. However this bike has an issue with ground clearance which is manageable if you ride alone but need to be taken care of, with a pillion rider

5. Pros - You can do long & city rides. It's worth its prize on that 250 cc segment and performance is best, brakes are excellent, tire grip to the drifting is best, and services ok but need to improve.
Cons - 5 no gears instead of 6 & little low power as compared to 250cc Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on the roads.

You can go for N250 but this bike is big and looks good and attracts people
Comfortable and easy trick. Maintenance of this bike is very easy. This bike lacks only 2 things 1 additional gear and instrument cluster but when you drive it in city you won't need 6th gear, go for it.

Smooth Comfortable yet Powerful

Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on roads and the looks of this bike are really cool. I am told that its mileage is also really good for a 250 cc bike. I can confirm that after a couple of months of usage.

First of all my buying experience was very good I boked my bike and I got it within a week. I had not even taken a test ride of the bike. When I went to take delivery it was a very good experience. My first experience of riding this machine was very good the power and torque distribution are very well managed. It gives a raw feeling after riding this bike. I was impressed with the looks of this bike the muscular tank design and the robot-faced headlight. Performance is very good. The best torque of 20nm and power of 20bhp gives the best feeling for riding this machine in cities and highways. It manages mileage of 30-35 in the city & 40 on the highway. It gives a better riding range with the massive 14ltr tank. Servicing cost is higher. I bought my bike in 2018 and I have done 5-6 services till now.

You can go for N250 but this bike is big and looks good and attracts people
Comfortable and easy trick. Maintenance of this bike is very easy. This bike lacks only 2 things 1 additional gear and instrument cluster but when you drive it in city you won't need 6th gear, go for it.

It's worth for its prize on that 250 cc segment and performance is best, brakes are excellent,

Smooth Comfortable yet Powerful

Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on roads and the looks of this bike are really cool. I am told that its mileage is also really good for a 250 cc bike. I can confirm that after a couple of months of usage.

Best performance bike & awesome looks

First of all my buying experience was very good I boked my bike and I got it within a week. I had not even taken a test ride of the bike. When I went to take delivery it was a very good experience. My first experience of riding this machine was very good the power and torque distribution are very well managed. It gives a raw feeling after riding this bike. I was impressed with the looks of this bike the muscular tank design and the robot-faced headlight. Performance is very good. The best torque of 20nm and power of 20bhp gives the best feeling for riding this machine in cities and highways. It manages mileage of 30-35 in the city & 40 on the highway. It gives a better riding range with the massive 14ltr tank. Servicing cost is higher. I bought my bike in 2018 and I have done 5-6 services till now.

Need more gears

The bike is amazing and has served me well for the past 5 years. I've ridden it every day, maintenance is affordable and easy to do even on your own. The only sad part is that it only has a 5-speed gearbox, and even on the 5th gear, it still has plenty of power and wants one more gear to fully use the power on hold. The bike looks great and all but needs a 6-speed gearbox to utilize it's full power

Honest Review After Driving 39000 km In 5 Years

I have been using this bike for the last 5 years. The bike is very good to ride in the city or on highways. The special thing is I never had a back pain issue while riding on this bike. Daily I am riding 50km in city traffic. I am getting 34 mileage per liter. The best part of this bike is the seating position. My height is 6 feet 4 and 4 inches and I never feel discomfort on this bike. I have completed more than 39k km driving and then given this honest review.

This bike is awesome and bs6 variant easily get 40 mileage on highway and this bike really value for money and I bought this bike 2021 and my bike is 2years now engine oil change after 5000km and I ride this bike 24000 in 2years Yamaha engine us most reliable and smooth this bike easily reach 120 in 15sec.

Better than royal enfield. Superb engine refinement, mileage around 37-40 kmpl which is amazing. Beats all royal enfield bikes in performance and re is nowhere close to yamaha's engine refinement, however, I know RE does not make performance bikes. And even in 250cc segment fz25 is little underpowered but atleast its better than RE . The most amazing part is engine refinement which is what Yamaha is known for and best mileage which are my top reasons to buy this bike. However this bike has an issue with ground clearance which is manageable if you ride alone but need to be taken care of, with a pillion rider

Cons - 5 no gears instead of 6 & little low power as compared to 250cc Very smooth, comfortable yet powerful bike. Just got it a week ago and I really liked it. I am 6 feet tall and I guess it would be comfortable for people of any height. The exhaust sound is really impressive too. People are noticing my bike on the roads.
