Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the 2021 Bonneville series that comprises two models – T120 and T120 Black. The updated models retain the styling of their predecessors while getting mechanical upgrades to comply with the newest emission norms.
The styling cues on both motorcycles include a round headlight, twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster, rounded fuel tank with rubber pads on either side, a single-piece saddle, and a twin-sided exhaust setup. The T120 Black variant distinguishes itself from the standard model through its dark theme. The Black edition features a black finish to the engine covers, rear-view mirror housing, rims, and exhaust cannisters. While the styling remains similar to the old models, the 2021 iterations get new tank badges, a revised layout for the instrument cluster, and updated switchgear. Triumph Motorcycles has also managed to reduce the weight of the motorcycles by seven kilograms. Triumph Motorcycles will offer a wide range of accessories for the T120 series.
The T120 will be available in three paint options – Jet Black, Cordovan Red with Silver Ice, and Cobalt Blue with Silver Ice. The T120 Black, on the other hand, will be sold in two colours – Jet Black and Matte Jet Black with Matte Graphite.
The suspension setup on both models includes telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs. The anchoring tasks are handled by 310mm twin rotors at the front and a single 255mm disc at the back. The callipers on the 2021 models, however, are now Brembo-sourced. The updated model range also uses lightweight aluminium wheel rims.
The mechanical specifications are identical on the Standard and the Black models. The vehicles are powered by a Euro5-compliant, 1,200cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 78.9bhp at 6,550rpm and 105Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The company has extended the service intervals to 10,000miles/16,000km.
The electronic rider aids include two riding modes (Road and Rain), switchable traction control, ABS, and a cruise control system.
The ARAI mileage of Triumph Bonneville T120 [2021-2022] is 21 kmpl.
