What else can you buy for the price of the Triumph Street Scrambler

Triumph has launched the Street Scrambler, based on the Street Twin at a price of Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). You could opt for a variety of bikes if you have a similar budget. We list down the bikes you could buy at the price of the Triumph Street Scrambler.

The Triumph directly competes with the Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro in terms of features, and the Italian manufacturer has three other similar bikes up its sleeve. To begin with, there is the Scrambler Icon, the base version of all Ducati Scramblers. This bike retails at Rs 7.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Ducati also offers the Scrambler Full Throttle, which is inspired by flat track racers. The bike features a Termignoni exhaust, lowered straight handlebar, and chopped front mudguard. It retails at Rs 8.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Also on offer is the Scrambler Classic. This bike gets vintage touches to accentuate its classic bike feel, although in a modern package. The Classic is priced at Rs 8.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). All the Scramblers are powered by the same 803cc L-twin Desmodromic engine, which delivers 75bhp and 68Nm of torque that is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.

Triumph also has other motorcycles similar to the Street Scrambler. The Street Twin retails at Rs 7.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bike’s design although meant to look classic, and has a modern feel to it. The Bonneville T100 on the other hand looks more retro with chrome parts and spoke wheels. It retails at Rs 7.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Both of these are powered by a 900cc, twin-cylinder engine. This engine produces 54bhp at 5900rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3230rpm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The features list includes ABS, traction control and ride-by-wire throttle.

You could also opt for the Harley-Davidson Iron 883. This bike features a 12-litre tank, making it ideal for city cruising. It is powered by an 883cc V-twin engine, which produces 50bhp and 69Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission and final belt drive. It retails for Rs 8.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

If you are looking for more power and torque along with the sound of an in-line four engine, Kawasaki offers the Z900. The streetfighter sports a 948cc in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 123bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.60Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. The bike is priced at Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Another streetfighter available to you is the Ducati Monster 797. This bike is the smallest in the Monster range and uses a 803cc L-twin engine. The L-twin engine produces 74bhp of power at 8,250rpm and 68.6Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.
