I got delivered the first Jawa 42 bobber in Trivandrum District, Kerala. The looks are amazing. Build quality is good too. It's not even one month since delivery. However, I could commute only 300 plus kms. One issue I faced is the squeaky sound while giving the rear brake. It should not happen for being a new bike and no offroading done or not ridden on a muddy road.
The service center cleaned the brake pads and it was fine. Rode 100 kms and again it happened along with a rear break not so commendable. I am not sure about the ABS being active or not since at 60 km per hr speed I felt a slight skidding feeling upon giving the reak break. Needs to address this issue during the first service.
I shall update here accordingly. Rest all fine with the bike as of now.

The engine of Jawa is far better than a meteor and you feel more powerful also it's more comfortable driving in the streets.
Liquid-cooled engine is too good and so is the styling. The only con I would say is you can get accessories compared to RE.

I've been using java 42 for more than 2yrs. I Rode 25k km till now. The bike is great look-wise l. Catches many eyes on the road. Very smooth ride compared to re. The major draw back which makes me give it 3 stars is service experience. They have only 2 service centers in a city like Mumbai. That too in the outskirts like thane/Bhandup. Never have I ever been satisfied with the work with such high service costs. Also, they do not provide spare parts so we can get the job done elsewhere. Don't know why this isn't acknowledged by the makers.
