BMW R 12 Summary

The BMW R 12 is a boxer-twin-powered cruiser motorcycle from the Bavarian bike maker in India. The R 12 is available in three paint schemes – Blackstorm, 719 Avus Silver, and Adventure Red.
Powering the BMW R 12 is a 1,170cc, air/oil-cooled, flat-twin boxer engine that produces 93.7bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 110Nm at 6,000rpm. It is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 203kmph.
Feature-wise, the R 12 comes equipped with features such as lean-sensitive ABS, traction control system, engine drag torque control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The motorcycle also gets a USB charging port, adjustable clutch and brake levers, single-pod analogue instrument console, and two riding modes – Rock and Roll.
The suspension setup of the BMW R 12 consists of rebound-adjustable 45mm upside-down front forks and a paralever swingarm with a preload-adjustable monoshock at the back. The braking hardware includes twin 310mm discs up front with radially mounted, four-piston monobloc callipers and a 265mm disc at the rear with a two-piston floating calliper. It rides on a 100/90 R19 front and a 150/80 R16 rear wheel.
The BMW R 12 rivals the Harley-Davidson Nightster, Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster, and the Indian Scout Classic.
