My big brother bought the FZ 2010 first gen. He rode it for almost 7 years then in 2017 he gave it to me as a gift. For beginners this bike is perfect for daily commutes and touring too. The old gen bike had more power and torque. The new gen is slightly low in power but its good. Looks are awesome and riding position is good and neutral and on long tour it's comfortable but not as much as high cc bikes. On long tours you can sometimes feel the power should be more but that's ok. In city I get mileage of about 40 km/l and on highway about 45-48km/l. One thing is Yamaha parts are expensive and service cost is around 600 Rs per service at dealer.. I had invested lot of money in service centre, parts are good but service is not good.. This bike needs low maintenance and just maintain the chain lube and brakes and tyre pressure for more efficient performance.. Acceleration is good not the best and engine is super reliable and even going on after 11 years. I always go for solo rides, about 250 more kms.. Cons : Seat comfort could be better for long tours. Yamaha parts are expensive and service centre should be morePros : You can go for it and its reliable and best
