New TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Review Image Gallery

We recently tested the new Apache RTR 200 4V at the TVS track in Hosur to find out how different it is as compared to the older model. Well, here are excerpts of the review explained through a detailed image gallery.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Headlamps

To begin with, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is now more aggressive thanks to the new headlamp unit which gets full-LED lighting.

The unit is enclosed in a matte black casing flanked by colour matched panels on either side. The quality of this plastic casing along with the fit of the DRLs and turn indicators could have been better.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Fuel Tank

The Apache continues to get a muscular tank and tank extensions which now sport refreshed graphics that make it look even more prominent and edgy.

Furthermore, the motorcycle also comes with sharper rear-view mirrors with a carbon-fibre like texture, better cushioned seats along with a wave bite ignition key that provides better security.

TVS has retained the double-cradle frame, telescopic forks, rear monoshock, and dual-disc setup from the previous-gen model. And while the latter came with various tyre options, the new model sports Remora tyre upfront and TVS ProTorq tyre for the rear.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Engine

The new Apache RTR 200 4V continues to be powered by the same 197.75cc oil-cooled single-cylinder unit. However, this unit is now BS6 compliant and features the ‘Race Tuned Fi’ as standard.

The motor produces 20.2bhp of power at 8500rpm and 16.8Nm of torque at 7500rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Instrument Panel

TVS has equipped the Apache RTR 200 4V with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster that displays call and message notifications, turn-by-turn navigation, lean angle and race telemetry along with assistance to nearest fuel station in case of low fuel.

The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.24 lakhs (ex-showroom) and demands a premium of Rs 10,000 over the previous-gen model. While we feel that it is a tad expensive for the extra equipment, the new Apache RTR 200 4V is still a good motorcycle in the entry-level performance segment.
