Even when compared to Bajaj’s December 2022 sales, the company has registered a 2 per cent drop in numbers. Surprisingly though, it also witnessed a slump in exports- an area Bajaj has consistently performed better than other Indian two-wheeler manufacturers. It registered a sale of 1 lakh units last month; a massive 46 per cent drop from the 1.87 lakh units it sold in January 2022. That said, it is looking to introduce the Chetak electric scooter in Europe sometime next year.
