The BMW R1250 RT has been announced, and although it may not look very different from the model it replaces, it has a lot of tech that makes it much better. 

Dynamic Traction Control, Automatic Stability Control and Hill Start Control are all standard now for the 2019 model.

On the options list is the next generation of semi-active suspension, called Dynamic ESA. It accounts for the extra weight of luggage and a pillion, and adjusts itself automatically.

Not only does the new 1250cc engine offer better power and torque figures at 134bhp and 125Nm, the two different cam lobes also afford it cleaner emissions and better fuel consumption in traffic.
