CB350 DLX Pro: Smooth, Solid, and Seriously Underrated
1 week ago
Anish Hari
The Honda CB350 DLX Pro is a motorcycle that quietly impresses. It does not chase outright performance numbers or aggressive styling; instead, it focuses on refinement, reliability, and a mature riding experience. From the moment you sit on it, the CB350 DLX Pro feels like a well-engineered machine designed for riders who value composure over chaos.Design & Build QualityThe retro design is tastefully executed. Chrome accents, a muscular fuel tank, and a clean silhouette give the CB350 DLX Pro a timeless appeal. Unlike many retro motorcycles that feel nostalgic but flimsy, this one feels solid and premium. Panel gaps are tight, paint quality is excellent, and overall fit and finish are exactly what you expect from Honda.Engine & PerformanceThe 348cc engine is not about raw speed—it is about smoothness and usable torque. Power delivery is linear, vibrations are extremely well controlled, and the bike feels relaxed at both city and highway speeds. Cruising at 90–100 km/h feels effortless, making it an excellent companion for daily commuting as well as long weekend rides. The exhaust note is deep and pleasing without being loud, adding character without fatigue.Ride & HandlingOn good roads, the CB350 DLX Pro feels planted and confident. The chassis is stable, steering is predictable, and cornering is reassuring rather than exciting. It is a motorcycle that encourages calm, controlled riding rather than aggressive behavior. However, this is where the biggest drawback shows up. Suspension & Bad Roads – The Weak SpotThe suspension setup is noticeably stiff, especially at the rear. While this stiffness helps maintain stability on smooth highways, it becomes a problem on bad roads, potholes, and uneven city surfaces.Sharp bumps are felt clearly through the seatBroken roads make the ride feel bumpy and slightly uncomfortableLonger rides on poor roads can cause fatigueIn Indian road conditions, where perfect tarmac is rare, this stiffness can reduce comfort, especially for pillion riders. Riders coming from softer-suspended motorcycles will immediately notice this trait.Braking & SafetyBrakes are progressive and confidence-inspiring. Dual-channel ABS works well, and traction control adds a layer of safety, particularly on wet roads. These features make the CB350 DLX Pro feel modern and reassuring despite its classic styling.Comfort & ErgonomicsThe riding posture is upright and relaxed. The seat is wide and comfortable for short to medium rides, though the stiff suspension limits overall comfort on rough terrain. Handlebar reach and footpeg placement suit a wide range of riders.VerdictThe Honda CB350 DLX Pro is a refined, dependable, and well-built motorcycle that excels in smoothness, engine character, and overall quality. It is ideal for riders who want a calm, mature machine with classic looks and modern reliability. However, if your daily riding involves bad roads, potholes, or rough city conditions, the stiff suspension and bumpy ride may bother you over time.Final TakeBuy the CB350 DLX Pro if you value refinement, build quality, and relaxed riding.Think twice if comfort on poor roads is your top priority. It is not perfect—but it is unmistakably Honda.

The buying experience was good. The Build quality is also good. The riding is also fine, but above 80Kms it needs some effort to pull. Here are my Pros and ConsPro's:The Honda BadgingBuild QualityCons:The biggest drawback is engine, which is Air-cooled, I'm surprised that Honda gave a 350 CC engine an Air-cooled option, it should be Oil or Liquid Cooled. Because of Air cooled engine, it heats like anything, and you can feel that while driving in traffic and on long rides as well. Didn't expect this. The Service costs are too much, it's not that we use the bike for long rides, we use for daily commutes also, hence whenever i go for servicing they tell me that Brake pads, Clutch pads etc. need to be changed. That's ridiculous, when asked they said we should not be driving that much in heavy traffic, and we should not apply pressure on brakes. So disappointed here as well.I get a message saying that some defective parts needs to be replaced after 1 year of purchasing the vehicle, its related to breaking and ABS, which was never told to me for all 4 free services. So, it's not a good approach by Honda.Overall, purchase this if you want to occasionally travel in heavy traffic and frequent long drives. I won't suggest this for city drives, Family drives etc.The mileage is also not that great, in traffic conditions i get around 25kms.

Tips for other riders
The Air-cooled engine is not suitable for 350cc engines, it's a blunder from Honda. The service costs are very high, and you cannot drive this vehicle in heavy traffic conditions. It's a bike for leisure rides, so spend 250K for leisure rides only, not suitable for city and family.

Excellent buying experience as the sales executive was well informed and well behaved. When it comes to the motorcycle. This provides a comfortable ride. This was the kind of motorcycle that I was looking for, in terms of looks and performance. This is an exact example of a Retro classic Motorcycle for me at least. The design is perfect and the riding posture is comfortable. The engine side is so refined that Honda is doing its best in the segment. Going towards the clutch, brakes, and gearbox, it's simply smooth and has no laggings while riding this motorcycle. The exhaust note is so soothing we can hear all day while riding. Overall bike is well-refined and value for money. I am quite happy with my choice.
