Ducati SuperSport is expected to launch in India in January 2022 in the expected price range of ₹ 13,00,000 to ₹ 13,50,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to SuperSport are Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 & Triumph Tiger 900. Another bike similar to SuperSport is Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R which is launching in July 2021 in India.
The Supersport is a name that has been revived by the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer for a fully-faired motorcycle that isn’t as committed as its track-bred brethren from the Panigale range. Its 937cc twin-cylinder engine churns out 110bhp and 97Nm in its BS4 guise. With the BS6-bound alterations, its power figures might change marginally. Also, it will certainly retain all the electronics like multi-level traction control and ABS settings.
The Supersport is a do-it-all road bike; it is capable of taking on the commute to work just as well as a spirited ride over the weekend. Sure, it won’t be as good as one of the Panigales at a track day, but conversely it won’t break your back on the ride to and from the track. Another thing it won’t break is the bank – it will be priced considerably lesser than the most affordable Panigale V2. So if you’re looking for a fully-faired Italian beauty that is relatively easy to ride, the SuperSport would be one of the ideal options.
Ducati had priced the BS4 SuperSport at Rs 12.08 lakh (ex-showroom) which will go up with the BS6 update. In the fully-faired touring genre, the motorcycle goes up against the Kawasaki Ninja 1000.
