The new Ducati Multistrada V2 is an upcoming adventure bike from the Italian bike maker that has been launched globally. It replaces the older Multistrada V2 and gets an all-new design, chassis, and engine. Internationally, it is available in three variants – V2, V2 S, and V2 S Travel.
With the generational update, the Multistrada V2 has gone under the knife and shed 18kg from its kerb weight. The design has been completely refreshed and is inspired by its bigger sibling, the Multistrada V4.
Powering the new Ducati Multistrada V2 is an all-new 890cc, twin-cylinder engine that pumps out 115bhp and 92.1Nm. It is coupled to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter. The engine is suspended on a new monocoque chassis as against the trellis frame on the previous bike.
The shock absorption setup on the S variant includes Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO semi-active suspension system. The standard bike, on the other hand, uses a manually adjustable setup. The braking tasks on both variants are handled by twin 320mm rotors with Brembo monobloc callipers at the front and a single 265mm disc with Brembo calliper at the back.
The feature list includes full-LED lighting, colour-TFT display, cornering ABS, traction control system, vehicle hold control, multiple riding and power modes, and more. The V4 S variant also gets a cruise control system, Ducati Multimedia System, Ducati Cornering Lights, Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down, and more.
Both variants of the new Multistrada V2 are available in a single Ducati Red colour. Meanwhile, the S and S Travel variants are also available in a new Storm Green colourway. The Multistrada V2 rivals the Triumph Tiger 900 range and the BMW F 900 XR.
