Ns 400 is a value-for-money bike for those who have a low budget and have a dream to ride a sports bike. Ns 400 provides a good riding experience on long rides. It has too much power and provides good Mileage on long rides. But there are some issues with Bajaj Service Centres. It's new for Bajaj Service Center's mechanics, so their mechanics fail to find the problem in bike. This is my experience with Bajaj and its very bad. I am from Noida, and my nearest service center is Kaydee Bajaj, Sector 63, Noida. I am not been going anywhere for the last 5 months because there is an issue in my bike and Mechanics have failed to sort that issue. From my 1st service, I explained to them about that issue and all the time they said that the issue was solved, but from the next day, the issue remained the same. For the last 5 months. I have not been able to travel out of my city. Now I am frustrated and parked my bike at home.

I have completed 7100 kms on Odo & Writing this Review.
      Positive :
      1. Good performance Engine.
      2. Riding posture is good & have done 600 kms in single day, Bike performed well.
      3. Mileage is acceptable in highways around 29-30 kmpl with an average speed of 100 kmph. City ride in traffic terrains i could get 22-23 kmpl.
      Negative :
      1. Feels vibration in mid range around 3k - 5k rpm.
      2. There is Engine stalling issue & even complained to Bajaj customer care, But the service center guys started convincing customers instead of solving the Issue (the problem still exists & no customer support )
      3. Got Oil leakage at the Magneto coil side of the Engine casing after the Second service they have assured to resolve but I'm not sure to what extent they will resolve it.
      4. Now Bajaj is providing Better tyres ( 150 section Apollo ) & sintered brake pads + an increase from 40 bhp to 43 bhp & an additional feature of Quick shifter. ( One way bajaj made trials on the early customers who believed on the Bajaj brand ), If Bajaj really concerned there customers same updates to be provided for old customers with some minimal additional cost.

I have driven 1000 km, Engine performance is Good & my trip meter shows a fuel efficiency of 37 kmpl & I was unable to believe that it achieves 35 kmpl. But full tank basis I could see an average of 35 kmpl. And I think it has good looks because pulsars will look like pulsars, not like superbikes like people were expecting. It has great power according to me and the price range does not compare it with ktm . But the only drawback I think is its tires, Its shock decreases braking power. You should upgrade the tire of it.

    • Value for money is never enough.

      Ayush Sharma

I had recently visited a Bajaj showroom to test ride the NS400Z and my initial impressions were good of the bike and how it has been put together by Bajaj.
A few days back a friend of mine came with his new bike to show me and it was a NS400Z, thus got more time to spend with the bike trying to understand what it actually offered so here is my take on the NS400Z:
      1. "VALUE FOR MONEY" is the game that Bajaj is trying to play with its latest flagship product, the bike I feel is strictly made for people who want the 400cc engine but do not want to spend as much as a Duke 390 or the Triumph 400's or even the Dominar 400.
      2. The Dominar sourced engine is a very reliable and tested one and the state of tune that it's running in the NS is what makes it so appealing, you just have to open the throttle and the bike goes also to mention the sweet-sounding exhaust note that just puts a smile on your face every time you are pushing the bike to the redline.
      3. The design is where I feel the NS is lacking and Bajaj could have given a fresh tail section to the bike. The DRLs look good but the overall design appeal is not that great. There certainly are better-looking bikes in the market at the same price point.
      4. All of this,if looked at in isolation makes the NS a great motorcycle which it certainly is but when you factor in the other options available in the market in the 400cc segment, like the KTMs, the Maverick 440, the Harley Davidson X440, the Triumph 400s, the Husqvarnas, Jawa's/Royal Enfield's new lineup of bikes and also the TVS RR310 and RTR 310, the Pulsar just does not stand out. Among a sea of far better motorcycles, the only thing going the way of the NS is it's ₹184000, Ex-Showroom price which makes it a whole lot cheaper than the competition it has.
All in all, what I think of the NS400Z is that it is a very good motorcycle in isolation but doesn't stand a chance against any of it's 400cc rivals and you should only buy one if you just can't spend more than the NS because you can't ride value for money for too long and someday or the other you'll understand what that means.

    • Power at the most reasonable price!

      Harsh

      9/10 overall considering the following:
      1. Power & performance (incl. the different riding modes) - Handles like a charm, and the pick-up is massively insane!
      2. Braking is a bit of a setback considering the huge engine and power/torque/speed capabilities.
      3. Service has been hassle-free up till now. Depends a lot on the service provider. Overall, worth the money and time.
      4. Long rides are a breeze with the perfect aerodynamics, and if ridden within reasonable speeds, churn out 34-38 kmpl. is very easy! Yes, 34-38!!
      5. Overall, very much satisfied with the bike's performance, capability, ease of maintenance, etc.

      Ravi

The riding experience is good and the handling is also nice.
There are a few vibrations at low speed in traffic, but in top speed it's smooth. can easily cruise at 120kmph.
The MID display is not that clear in hot daylight; the display gets faded in heat, but when it gets cold, it gets back to normal.

    • Perfect Budget 400cc bike
