The Yamaha FZ V4 is a well-rounded commuter bike that focuses more on comfort, efficiency, and everyday usability rather than outright performance. It is powered by a 149cc engine that is extremely smooth and refined, making it ideal for city riding, especially in traffic conditions where ease of handling matters. One of its biggest strengths is mileage, with real-world figures typically ranging between 45–55 km/l, which makes it a very economical choice for daily commuters. The upright seating posture and well-cushioned seat ensure a comfortable riding experience even during longer rides within the city, and the suspension setup handles bumps reasonably well. In terms of features, the bike stands out by offering modern elements like traction control, Bluetooth connectivity through Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, LED lighting, and a digital instrument cluster, which add to its premium feel in the 150cc segment. However, the bike is not without drawbacks; its power output of around 12.4 PS feels underwhelming, especially when compared to competitors, and it struggles to deliver strong performance at higher speeds, making highway rides less exciting. Additionally, it comes with single-channel ABS, whereas some rivals offer dual-channel ABS for better safety. While the design is muscular and stylish with good road presence, some riders feel the pricing is slightly on the higher side considering the performance it offers. Overall, the Yamaha FZ V4 is an excellent choice for riders who prioritise comfort, fuel efficiency, and smoothness for daily commuting, but it may not satisfy those looking for a sporty or high-performance motorcycle.

One of the best daily use bikes for the city ride in 150 cc range bikes as well as in similar budget bikes........... Fzs v4 is designed in such a way as to attract youngsters as well as family rides.... It gives great control and a stunning look... Crash guard seems to be very light quality... Could have been better if it was a heavy-duty one..

Change oil for every 3000 kms... Do apply chain lube every 500 kms or every week... Do check for the air pressure in tyre every week...
