Best exOwning the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my motorcycling journey. From the moment I took it for a test ride, I knew this machine had something special. The first thing that stood out was its compact and agile design. Unlike the bulkier Royal Enfield models, the Hunter feels lighter, more urban, and perfectly suited for city rides.
The 349cc J-series engine delivers smooth power with minimal vibrations, and the throttle response feels crisp and refined. It’s not built for raw speed, but for enjoyable, confident riding — whether I’m cruising through city traffic or taking a relaxed weekend ride on the highway. The gearbox shifts cleanly, and the exhaust note adds that signature Royal Enfield thump that never fails to put a smile on my face.
Comfort-wise, the seat is well-cushioned, and the upright riding position makes long rides easy on the back and shoulders. The suspension absorbs bumps efficiently, and the dual-channel ABS gives a sense of safety and control. What I also appreciate is the modern touch — the digital-analogue cluster, turn-by-turn navigation (on the Metro variant), and the stylish alloy wheels.
In terms of looks, the Hunter 350 is a head-turner. Its retro-modern styling, compact frame, and color options make it stand out in traffic. It’s a perfect blend of classic Royal Enfield charm and contemporary design.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350: The Ultimate City Roadster

I have been riding the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 primarily for my daily city commutes, and it has been an absolute joy. The 350cc J-series engine is incredibly punchy in the low and mid-range, making it very easy to zip through heavy traffic without constant gear shifts.
Looks & Handling: It nails the retro-modern look and gets a lot of compliments. Weighing 181 kg with a low 790mm seat height, it feels incredibly light and nimble—completely different from the heavier Classic 350.
Mileage: I am consistently getting around 35–38 kmpl in the city and up to 40 kmpl on the highway, which is fantastic for a 350cc bike.
    Pros:
Highly agile and easy to flick through traffic.
Excellent low-end torque and a crisp exhaust note.
    Great value for money.
    Cons:
The rear suspension is quite stiff, so you will feel sharp potholes.
The clutch pull can feel a bit heavy during long bumper-to-bumper traffic jams.
Maintenance Tip: Keep an eye on the chain lubrication every 500 km, and consider adjusting the rear suspension preload if you frequently ride with a pillion to soften the bumps.

    Perfect choice for short champs!

If you are someone with a height above 170 cm and need to ride 150+ km daily, I would definitely not recommend this bike to you. Over time, there is a high chance your back pain and leg pain will worsen.
However, if you are comparatively shorter, this bike will give you a fun and comfortable experience. The Hunter 350 is so smooth and reliable that it is equally comfortable for both long rides and city commuting. It also delivers a decent average mileage of around 35 km/l.
That said, it does have a few drawbacks. You need to care the chain and sprocket like a child because it frequently gets loose or faces issues. The horn also stops working occasionally. And as for the service, to put it in one word: "Poor."
In short, if you maintain it properly, this bike is absolute value for money for someone under 170 cm.

I have been riding the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and overall it has been a great experience. The bike looks stylish, modern, and attracts attention wherever it goes. Its compact size and light weight make it very easy to handle in city traffic compared to other Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The 349cc engine is smooth and refined, providing enough power for daily commuting as well as weekend rides. The seating position is comfortable, and the bike feels stable even at higher speeds. The exhaust note has the classic Royal Enfield feel without being too loud.
The suspension is slightly stiff on rough roads, and the pillion seat could be more comfortable for long journeys. However, the bike offers good mileage, low maintenance costs, and excellent road presence.
Overall, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is an excellent choice for riders looking for a stylish, reliable, and easy-to-ride motorcycle. It is especially suitable for city use while still being capable of handling highway rides comfortably.
