The Himalayan is easily the most anticipated motorcycle from Royal Enfield given its positioning as an adventure touring motorcycle. The Himalayan does make a lot of sense in that regard and Royal Enfield The brand needs no introduction to anyone who rides a motorcycle in the country Great, all should go for this bike. It looks good body is not bulky like other bikes. It is easy to ride on all roads it's really comfortable for long-distance rides and for daily commuters. It has great mileage on roads low maintenance and is less noisy.

Affordable Adventure Motorcycle

Saikat Das

Since 16th December 2021, till now I have covered 30900+ km with Royal Enfield Himalayan bs6 pine green.
I am keeping this bike as much healthier as I can. I made a 1000 km ride in a day about 6 times. I rode this bike for more than 300 km nonstop (one petrol bunk to the next) running consistently at 80-90-100 range at noon-afternoon at high temperatures, with panniers top box pillion, it didn’t break down.
What I find PROS & CONS after riding more than 30000 km, I can clearly tell that:
a) Initial or low-end to midrange torque is very good to escape from stickiest situations in offroads or no roads.
b) The bike is heavy at very low speeds, other than that it is fun to ride a motorcycle with very neutral handling.
c) Rider’s Triangle is very comfortable though stock seats are very soft and often get uncomfortable after 250-300 km, so either you need to take a bum break or stand up on footpegs.
d) Front brakes are dull in both feedback & bite, so replacing them with Yamaha R15 V3’s front disk pads (costs around 450/-, stock 250/-) will improve the braking performance a lot better.
e) Rear brakes are good, not better or better.
f) Rear suspension is a little stiff if you compare it with the BMW 310GS or Hero Xpulse 200, but better than the KTM 390 Adventure.
g) Front suspension is very good, if you stand up in footpegs, then best, because your weight comes at your hands so more loads on the front suspension to work.
h) Quality of components is improving, not like earlier, failure rates are very low. I only got stuck at once because my clutch cable snapped but luckily I always carry a spare one, because I come from a Yamaha R15 v2.0 family, which clutch cables are prone to snapping.
i) The engine is stock. The clutch is stock. Battery is stock. The Chain Sprocket is still in stock.
j) I replaced only one Cone Set, one Front Tyre, and one Rear Tyre.
k) I serviced the Rear Suspension and bushes at home and after that, it is fine, with no sounds from the rear suspension.
l) I am using Motul 7100 10W50 2Litre at an interval of 5000 km.
k) Stock Fuel Pump Relay is a culprit. Change it to RE and make 5pin relay (white/light gray color), it will not give low-speed stalling problems.
l) Try to use Indian Oil CoCo pumps or Shell pumps, the rest all give bad fueling to the bike and the bike suffers a lot to ride.
m) Avoid water jet wash as much as possible and try to wash it with a mug, because the water will residue inside the Speedometer making it foggy.
n) Use Liqui Moly Fuel System Cleaner in each 3000 km, it will take care of the bike’s fuel injector & fuel pump filter.
o) The Stock Handle is of mild steel so after a drop it will bend for sure, so you can install an AOM handlebar.
p) Grease the clutch cable frequently to make it soft and less prone to snap.
q) The gearbox is clunky but if you set the clutch free play just right, put gear oil/wd40 at the gear shifter, and use fully synthetic engine oil, it will not be clunky.
r) Stock Ceat Gripp xl tires are good, but changing to MRF Mogrip Meteor will give more mileage as well as tire life.
s) Avoid putting a load on the battery with auxiliary lights etc. (without putting any relay or wiring harness), it will drop the bike’s performance drastically due to less current flow to the fuel pump or injector.
t) Replace fork oil at each interval of 25000 km for more efficient front suspension travel.
I think these things will help you to understand your bike better and connect to your bike.
Till then! Chao…

Take anywhere bike

Akshay K

Overall, a good bike for all-purpose use provides a better riding experience with a good road presence.
Perfect bike for long drives with good power and initial torque, as well as good comfort seats for the rider,  pillion seat is a little small. Provide confidence for riders, allowing you to take them anywhere.
