I bought my Himalayan rock red in color. When I walk by it in the market people see it very carefully. Many people asked me about my bike, I love my Himalayan very much. Mileage is not so good but as per segment mileage is very good. I have loaded almost all accessories in my Himalayan. Now I am looking music system for my Himalayan if anyone knows about it let me know.

"Not perfect just pure"

I still remember the day I got my hands on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the old-school carburettor version in that rugged granite black colour. It wasn’t brand new, the paint had slightly faded and the metal parts bore the mark of countless rides. Yet, the moment I started it, the unmistakable thump and raw vibration of that 411cc engine brought a smile to my face. It felt like a machine with stories to tell.My first real ride was an early morning escape from Delhi traffic. The chill in the air mixed with the smell of petrol as the carburetted engine warmed up slowly. The Himalayan didn’t roar to life instantly it grumbled, coughed, and then settled into a steady, thumpy rhythm, as if saying, “Alright, let’s go" Once it hit the open road, it felt solid. At 90–100 km/h, it cruised effortlessly, but push it further and it started to remind me of its old-school roots , the vibrations, the slight lag, the mechanical feel that most modern bikes lack.On rough terrains, though, the Himalayan is in its element. I took it once on a dusty trail outside Gurgaon no paved roads, just gravel and loose sand. The suspension soaked up everything, and the upright riding posture gave me confidence to stand and ride. The balance and grip were impressive for a bike that heavy. It’s not fast, but it’s steady the kind of steady that makes you trust it on bad roads and sharp bends.Of course, it has its flaws. Cold starts are tricky, especially on winter mornings. The mileage floats around 25–28 km/l, and the heat during slow traffic can test your patience. The Himalayan also demands a bit more maintenance than the newer fuel-injected models.Yet, every time I park it and walk away, I find myself turning back for one last look. There’s something raw, mechanical, and honest about this bike. It doesn’t pretend to be perfect it just does what it’s meant to do: take you anywhere, at its own unhurried pace. It’s not a machine for everyone but for those who love the old-school feel, the Himalayan is a 4/5 star adventure partner with a 5-star heart. <3
