The most awaited fully-faired motorcycle from Benelli, the Tornado 302R, will finally be launched in India next month.
The company has zeroed down mid-June as the official launch time, however, the exact date is yet to be fixed. This development was confirmed to BikeWale by DSK Motowheels officials. Their earlier plans of introducing the Tornado 302R in January had to be postponed as the bike then was BS-III compliant model. The company is now ready with the BS-IV model and it will be launched next month.
The other interesting bit is that the company will also be launching the Tornado 302R with anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a standard feature. There won’t be a non-ABS version of this fully-faired motorcycle. DSK Motowheels understands the importance of safety and going forward, all new motorcycles will be launched only with ABS.
In terms of pricing, the company doesn’t plan to undercut its competitors with this 36bhp motorcycle. It believes that the Tornado 302R offers much more than its competition and the customers would see that value. The launch price of the Tornado 302R would be on par with its competitors like the Yamaha YZF-R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300. The bookings for this 302cc in-line twin motorcycle have already begun in several Benelli showrooms.
