Low weight, awesome scooty with better mileage

I owned this scooty in October 2020. So, flexible handling experience. Look wise modern scooty. Servicing and maintenance cost is also low. Better scooty from Yamaha. But, if you plan to buy it, one issue will arrive. The upper light is low, not good for night riding. You have to install extra fog light for better experience. Otherwise, a good scooty for daily use.

I want to buy this scooty. Excellent look, Average mileage about 50 kmpl. Digital console looks advance. Fitted for unisex. The design language is quite retro125cc engine is refined. Comes with cool rally variant. Doesn’t get usb charging as standard. Gets smaller floorboard. Overall quality could have been better.

It's amazing, i have get near about 65 kilometre per litre off mileage, it's very easy to handle for a new user. Please try to maintain the speed with always eco generated indicator. In my right i am always try to maintain this eco indicator during ride. It's really value for money in this pandemic situation. Also i am a health worker.

My experience with Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR 125 aka beastie

Sourave

I would start with the Cons first.
1. Bad Mirror.
2. Headlight is very bad at night. You would need additional lights if you are planning late-night long drives.
3. Vibration from the front attachments, more when you drive slowly over uneven roads.
4. I'm 168 and can't place my feet completely on the ground. Heels will be up a bit.
5. The Transition from Dio to this one was a bit tough, needed some miles to get acquainted with the beast.
6. 80 kmph is Max you can go after that, you would feel like stepping out and running with the bike.
7. The tyres you get initially are bad, after 1000 - 1500 kms please change them.
8. The front hook does not support more than 1kg load. You need to buy a tie to get the groceries tied to the front floor.
9. Mind the wind when you go above 80 kmph. The vehicle is only 99kg
Pros
1. Very smooth vehicle, 1500 kms driven so far no other issues apart from the above cons.
2. For me it's a very upright vehicle, very comfortable. Do not travel with a bag on your shoulder, use a tie to attach to rear hand grab rail.
3. It climbs to 55 - 70 superfast and then it's lazy.
4. Mileage 51 with city traffic.
5. Auto engine cutoff switch.
6. Side stand engine cut off.
The longest I have travelled in a stretch is 150 kms, took a break of 15 minutes in between.

Tips for other riders

1. Yamaha services are good, however, you need to speak to them about everything and build a good connection with them, that would help you get more maintenance tips. 2. Long drives after 80 - 100 kms please take a break of 30 minutes. 3. Regularly check oil, and tyre pressure, and check under the vehicle to see if anything is loose or something is wrong. 4. When you are travelling over speed and hit the bump, it will impact the front and back suspension. Speed is good as long as you can control it properly.
