I booked it on 19 march and got its delivery on 8th April colour is getaway orange it's very beautiful 1st service was for 1101 rupees 2nd for 300.Faced 1 problem i.E.The horn stopped working after 1 month.It tells nice nice riding it. One disadvantage is that it does not have backrest so if a pillion is sitting and we accelerate it he might fall.But you can buy it separately from royal enfield for 2500 inr.

Tips for Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X

Need to keep it like family member not to think it as non living.

It is as smooth as car. Not so stylish but very good looking bike. It performs upto your expectations. Maintenance and servicing cost will be high. It is a multi purpose bike, you can use it as daily commuter, off road, long tourer. Its exhaust is controlled, no big noise. One biggest demerit is pillion rider has to be careful because its pick up is too fast.

About buying this 500cc beast is quite great the moment i entered the showroom i can feel the presence of an attractive looking bike like its appealing me i am yours just take me with you and that's how i decided to take this bike with me. I made a cash payment which in total cost me 2,48,000 for tbx500 quite costly but when it came to riding this bike i can feel the beast in it. Its tough enough to conquer the hard highways and for long tours its attractiveness just makes people turn their heads mostly 80 percent of the people would definitely turn their head which is quite a road presence and makes a rider delightful and forgets all the other problems related to it such as during the top gears mirrors use to shake and fall down from their respected positions but i tightened the screws and its all fine. During long rides screws in silencer pipes & stands lossens which were required to check timely or you will loose some screws beside its vibrating nature i am in love with this bike. It consumes 28km per litre. When it comes to discuss about its meters they don't do their job well because they jump up & down and clamps lossens and breaks down and that's the main reason their will be changes of meter panel in new thunderbird. Servicing: i got a three service for free and 4th service was also to be free but i have ridden much and i crossed the limits of free servicing... It will cost around 1500 if you pay while servicing.

This is amazing and very reliable bike suitable for long rides on indian roads. I have owned this bike for more than a year now and have completed 9000 kms. Recent (july 25-30th 2019) was a 5 day trip ahmedabad- goa-ahmedabad covering 2448 kms. Very comfortable seating & one can do 250-300 kms non stop covering average 70-72 kms/hour @ speed 80kmph. In spite of continuous & heavy rains the performance exceeded expectations with superb fuel efficiency of 38 km/ltr. The machine never lets you down in terms of power & reliability, overall experience was scintillating....Absolute 10/10. Service support at sarabhai motors ahmedabad was excellent with proactive recommendation to carry necessary spares during the trip like clutch/accelerator wire, fuse, spark plug & cap etc etc. Maintenance cost is extremely low. However two areas of improvement recommended (1) head light (2) brake can bring 10x improvement in value proposition of the bike.
