Thrumming beneath me, the Super Meteor's exhaust hums a symphony of freedom. Owning this cruiser in India since its 2023 launch has been an electrifying adventure, full of twists and turns, just like the roads I've conquered. Here's my insider take, covering everything from the thrill of buying to the grit of servicing, as a fellow Super Meteor rider in this beautiful chaos we call India.
    1. Buying Experience:
The showroom felt like a cathedral, the Meteor gleaming like a chrome altar on display. The purchase process was a smooth ride, although the waitlist did test my patience a tad. But finally, there I was, keys in hand, ready to christen the open road.
    2. Riding Experience:
Ah, the ride! First thing that hits you is the comfort. The low seat and stretched-out posture embrace you like a leather armchair. Twisting the throttle unleashes a surge of smooth power, not a fire-breathing beast, but a steady companion. Handling is surprisingly nimble, carving through cityscapes with ease. On highways, the Meteor cruises like a majestic ship, wind whispering tales in your helmet.
    3. Looks & Performance:
Let's face it, the Meteor turns heads. The classic silhouette, sculpted tank, and chrome accents are pure cruiser eye candy. Performance matches the aesthetics – it's not a speed demon, but the 650cc engine packs enough punch for confident overtaking and spirited sprints. The exhaust purrs a low growl, a constant reminder of the beast beneath.
    4. Servicing & Maintenance:
Here's where things get a little bumpy. Finding experienced mechanics for this new steed can be tricky. The first service was smooth, but subsequent ones felt like navigating a maze of checklists and explanations. Parts availability can be an occasional hiccup, especially for non-essential accessories. However, Royal Enfield's service network is steadily expanding, so hopefully, things will smoothen out.
    5. Pros & Cons:
    Pros:
Comfort: Feels like your living room on wheels, perfect for long hauls.
Handling: Surprisingly agile for its size, nimble in traffic and stable on highways.
Looks: Classic cruiser charm, turns heads everywhere you go.
Performance: Smooth, reliable engine with enough power for everyday riding.
Community: A growing tribe of Meteor riders across India, camaraderie on the road.
    Cons:
Heat Management: The engine can get quite toasty in Indian summers, especially in stop-and-go traffic.
Ground Clearance: Be cautious of large speed bumps and potholes.
Servicing: Learning curve for finding skilled mechanics and dealing with occasional parts availability issues.
Power: Not a speed demon, might not thrill adrenaline junkies.
    Verdict:
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is a cruiser with a soul. It's not perfect, but its flaws are overshadowed by its charm, comfort, and the sheer joy of cruising Indian roads. If you're looking for a timeless companion to explore the vast tapestry of landscapes our country offers, the Meteor won't disappoint. Just be prepared for the occasional heat wave and service quirks.
Overall, I wouldn't trade my Super Meteor for anything. It's more than just a bike; it's a passport to adventure, a testament to the unyielding spirit of the open road, and a rumbling reminder that life is best lived on two wheels.
So, fellow riders hit the streets, let the wind brush your face, and experience the magic of the Super Meteor. Just remember, it's not the destination, but the journey that matters, and with this cruiser by your side, every mile is an adventure waiting to be written.
    Ride safe, ride free!

Tips for Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

General Care: Wash regularly: Use a gentle car wash soap and avoid harsh chemicals. Don't neglect the undercarriage, especially after muddy rides. Wax and polish: Regular waxing protects the paint and chrome from harsh conditions. Tyre check: Maintain recommended tyre pressure. Check for tread wear and damage regularly. Chain maintenance: Lubricate the chain regularly (every 500 km) with a good motorcycle chain lube. Avoid over-lubrication. Battery care: Keep the battery terminals clean and tight. If the bike sits unused for long, consider using a trickle charger. Engine and Fluids: Oil changes: Stick to the recommended oil change intervals, especially during the break-in period. Use high-quality motorcycle oil. Air filter: Check the air filter for dirt and debris regularly. Replace it as per the manufacturer's recommendations. Spark plugs: Inspect spark plugs for wear and replace them if necessary. Coolant: Check coolant level and condition regularly. Top up or replace as needed. Pre-Ride Checks: Tyre pressure: Check and adjust tyre pressure before every ride. Lights: Ensure all lights and indicators are functioning properly. Brakes: Test the front and rear brakes for proper functionality. Fluid levels: Check oil, coolant, and brake fluid levels. Additional Tips: Ride responsibly: Follow traffic rules and avoid overspeeding. Warm up the engine: Let the engine warm up before riding off, especially in cold weather. Avoid overheating: Take breaks during long rides to allow the engine to cool down. Store properly: Park the bike in a cool, dry place when not in use. Follow the user manual: Refer to the manufacturer's manual for specific maintenance instructions and schedules.

if your riding includes regular highway stints, weekend out-of-town trips or you value cruiser-style relaxed riding, then the Super Meteor 650 is doing its job — comfortable, capable, enjoyable.
If your riding is mostly heavy traffic, short hops, narrow lanes and frequent stops, then you might be feeling its limitations in agility, suspension comfort and fuel economy.
Overall: It’s a very strong cruiser in its segment for the money, but like all bikes, it comes with trade-offs.

The Super Meteor 650 is hands down the sexiest bike I’ve ever owned. It looks stunning, feels powerful, and rides like a dream. The handling is unbelievably smooth — you feel like it’s glued to the road. In the city, you need some strength and control (it’s a Royal Enfield, after all), but on the highway, it’s pure magic — effortless, stable, and classy. It’s not just a bike, it’s an experience every single time you ride it.

I’ve been riding my Super Meteor Celestial for over two and a half years and clocked 23,000 km. The bike has been an absolute delight – smooth 650cc engine, excellent highway comfort, premium looks, and solid reliability. Mileage is decent for a cruiser (around 22–25 km/l), and maintenance has been hassle-free. Even after long rides, comfort is great thanks to the relaxed seating and windscreen. Overall, a perfect touring partner with great road presence.

    • Super Meteor 650 – A Royal Touch to Modern Cruising

      Vikrant Kumar

Review: Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 – A Cruiser That Rules the Roads
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is more than just a motorcycle – it’s a statement on two wheels. Built on RE’s proven 648cc parallel-twin platform, the Super Meteor takes the familiar powerplant and wraps it in a true-blue cruiser form that feels both premium and purpose-built.
      Design & Build Quality
From the very first glance, the Super Meteor 650 stands apart with its low-slung stance, wide handlebars, and chunky fuel tank. The fit and finish are top-notch, with chrome detailing, LED lighting, and alloy wheels lending it a modern edge while retaining the brand’s classic DNA. The wide seat and relaxed footpegs make it a genuine long-haul machine.
      Engine & Performance
At the heart is the tried-and-tested 648cc parallel-twin engine producing 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. The delivery is smooth, linear, and perfect for cruising at highway speeds. The 6-speed gearbox is slick, and the engine’s refinement makes it equally enjoyable in city rides. While not an outright performance machine, it offers plenty of grunt for overtakes and a confident, stress-free ride.
      Ride & Handling
The Super Meteor shines in ride comfort. Its USD front forks and rear twin shocks strike a good balance between comfort and control. The low seat height (740 mm) gives riders of varying builds confidence, while the 241 kg kerb weight adds stability at speed. Cornering clearance is limited, as expected on a cruiser, but for its category, handling is solid and reassuring.
      Features
The bike gets Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation pod, LED headlamp, USB charging, and quality switchgear. The instrument cluster blends analogue charm with modern functionality.
      Verdict
The Super Meteor 650 is arguably the most premium Royal Enfield ever built. It looks the part, rides beautifully, and delivers an authentic cruiser experience at a price that undercuts many international rivals. Yes, it’s heavy, and ground clearance could bother in Indian conditions, but for those who dream of effortless highway miles with timeless style, the Super Meteor 650 is a stellar choice.

its a very good bike, the pickup, the power, everything is great, and even the mileage is better than gt 650, but the only setback I would say is the rigid shockers. they are so rigid that you will feel every bump even after getting the touring seat. talking about looks, it's an eye catcher and with amazing performance.

      Krishna Bajaj

The bike looks great and is a joy to ride. But the stiff rear suspension is hard to ignore. Also, feature-wise, it's just like a classic cruiser. Pure riding experience.
      Pros:
      1. Power
      2. Comfort (Rider + Pillion)
      3. Road presence
      4. Sound (even with stock exhaust)
      Cons:
      1. Suspension
      2. Features
      3. Tripper (absolutely useless)

    • Best cruiser in India for cheap price

      Sammy

The best bike, honestly, for the price. The suspension could have been better for the price, but yeah, it's worth it. The 648cc engine and all make it unique, with twin parallel exhausts. It's been a great bike in my opinion. You can buy it for sure, but the service may be a little headache due to the spare parts and the clearance issue.

    • Stunning look, but needs improvement

      Krishna Bajaj

The bike looks great and is a joy to ride. But the stiff rear suspension is hard to ignore. Also, feature-wise, it's just like a classic cruiser. Pure riding experience.
      Pros:
      1. Power
      2. Comfort (Rider + Pillion)
      3. Road presence
      4. Sound (even with stock exhaust)
      Cons:
      1. Suspension
      2. Features
      3. Tripper (absolutely useless)

    • Best cruiser in India for cheap price

      Sammy

The best bike, honestly, for the price. The suspension could have been better for the price, but yeah, it's worth it. The 648cc engine and all make it unique, with twin parallel exhausts. It's been a great bike in my opinion. You can buy it for sure, but the service may be a little headache due to the spare parts and the clearance issue.

    • Good for cruiser lover.

      Satish Kumar Yadav

if your riding includes regular highway stints, weekend out-of-town trips or you value cruiser-style relaxed riding, then the Super Meteor 650 is doing its job — comfortable, capable, enjoyable.

    • True Gentleman Cruiser – Refined Power and Royal Comfort

      Aryan Rao

The Super Meteor 650 is hands down the sexiest bike I’ve ever owned. It looks stunning, feels powerful, and rides like a dream. The handling is unbelievably smooth — you feel like it’s glued to the road. In the city, you need some strength and control (it’s a Royal Enfield, after all), but on the highway, it’s pure magic — effortless, stable, and classy. It’s not just a bike, it’s an experience every single time you ride it.

    • RE Super Meteor Celestial 650 – 2.5 years / 23,000 km

      Anupam

    • A Nice ride, but lacks in long ride comfort

      Gursimar Singh

its a very good bike, the pickup, the power, everything is great, and even the mileage is better than gt 650, but the only setback I would say is the rigid shockers. they are so rigid that you will feel every bump even after getting the touring seat. talking about looks, it's an eye catcher and with amazing performance.
