The Ampere Nexus is the company’s latest electric scooter, positioned at the premium end of its lineup. Built on an all-new platform, the Nexus is offered in two variants — EX and ST.
At its core is a 4kW electric motor that delivers a top speed of 93kmph in Power mode. In City mode, the speed is limited to 63kmph, while Eco mode brings it down to 42kmph to maximise efficiency. There's also a Limp Home mode that activates when battery levels drop below 20 per cent, as well as a Reverse mode for added convenience.
Powering the Nexus is a 3kWh LFP battery, chosen for its superior thermal stability, a crucial factor for Indian weather conditions. The scooter offers a certified range of 136km and takes 3 hours and 20 minutes for a full charge using the standard 15A charger. A 25A fast charger is available as an optional upgrade.
Design-wise, the Nexus follows a clean and conservative aesthetic, featuring flat body panels with subtle creases that add visual interest. Its large, well-proportioned body ensures road presence while maintaining a unique identity. It is available in four attractive colour options: Zanskar Aqua, Steel Grey, Indian Red, and Lunar White.
Under the skin, the Nexus employs a new underbone chassis, paired with a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. The company claims this frame offers exceptional rigidity and strength. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MRF tyres, and features a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Ground clearance stands at a respectable 170mm.
In terms of features, the Nexus ST stands out with a seven-inch TFT touchscreen display that supports Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can pair their smartphones to access call and message alerts, along with turn-by-turn navigation. In contrast, the Nexus EX gets a 6.2-inch segmented LCD with more basic functionality, missing out on navigation, music controls, and auto day/night screen adjustment.
The Ampere Nexus competes with popular models in the segment, including the TVS iQube, Ola S1 range, and the Ather Rizta.

I've purchased Nexus ST on last month. On that first date itself, I felt a suspension issue in my vehicle. Even though I had replaced the suspension. The vehicle performance is ok. But the front suspension is very bad. The company should take immediate action regarding this suspension issue.Comparing other EVs service is ok.

Smart looks but post-sale service needs improvement

Ampere Nexus ST’s biggest USP is its design, which looks better than many other premium electric scooters. The scooter performs well in terms of pickup and speed. In City mode, it easily achieves a top speed of 65 kmph, and in Power mode, it comfortably crosses 90 kmph. However, the claimed mileage is much higher than the actual performance. The company claims a range of 136 km on a full charge, but the display shows 105 km, which is still not achievable in city traffic. On average, it runs around 80 km on a full charge. In terms of comfort, the ride is smooth, but on patchy roads, you can feel the jerks as the shock absorbers seem a bit stiff. The quality of plastic used in the body appears poor, and even a minor fall could cause significant damage. Spare parts are also expensive. I faced a technical glitch that took a long time to resolve, as the post-sales service is limited to just one service center in Nagpur.Tech-wise, the company makes tall claims, but connectivity is unreliable. You need to reconnect frequently, and call or message alerts do not function properly.

It's not worth taking at all, in 2 months all the parts and the body will be in your hands.

If you are thinking of getting an Ampere EV, don't take it into consideration because it causes whole-body vibrations very quickly. It has been 6 months since I took it. Scooter's. The whole body is broken. If you think about it 100 times before buying a scooter and changing the disc brake, you will not take it at all. If you take it to the service, they will say that it will remain like this.

The company mentions 136 km but practically 80 to 85, Till date 31/08/2025 Amapere connect software is not available in play store, all buttons are confusing at night riding need button lights for night riding. In the rain water enters in charging socket. After riding 5000km + button are not feeling smooth as feeling at purchase specially the MODE button. At last request to the company Software of Amapere connect is available on play store as soon as possible.

Mileage not good suspension not good
Antonymelban S
Suspension is not good. when I was driving the vehicle I got back pain after 30 km. Also, mileage is 70 km per charge at 45 km speed. If I raise speed suddenly mileage drops But they advertise 136 km per charge under standard testing conditions. In Indian Road conditions they need to work out. Customers drive the scooter on Indian Road, not test tracks.

Poor service support and dealer response
Kumar
I bought this Ampere Nexus ST in Chennai, after buying this scooter there has been no any proper response from the dealer and Ampere customer support regarding your queries. They won't give any proper documentation like insurance copy and service details. Poor dealer response and attitude. They treat customers badly. Be careful before choosing this brand. Take it at your own risk.
