TVS recently launched its most powerful naked motorcycle, the Apache RTR 310. It’s based largely on the existing RR 310, but sports a radical design and a host of features, too. Let’s take a close look at it.

TVS Apache RTR 310 Head Light

So far, the Apache RTR 310 has received mixed responses from the BikeWale team in terms of its design. It looks a tad polarising with the sharp bodywork, cuts and creases, and compact structure. But the headlight design reminds us of a certain Austrian rival. The Apache RTR 310 gets a split-seat setup.

TVS will offer the bike in two paint schemes – yellow with black and red with black. Then, there’s the Built-to-Order (BTO) package for the Apache RTR 310 just like the Apache RR 310. It offers the naked Apache in TVS’ signature paint scheme.

Powering the new Apache is a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor and it makes 35.08bhp and 28.7Nm, unlike the RR’s 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

It gets a steel trellis frame with a new aluminum sub-frame, suspended on USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile, the brakes comprise a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in Michelin Road 5 tyres.

If you opt for the BTO, then the optional Dynamic kit gets preload, rebound, and compression adjustability for the front forks and preload and rebound adjustment options for the monoshock.

TVS Apache RTR 310 TFT / Instrument Cluster

Apart from LED illumination, the Apache RTR 310 also gets a fully digital five-inch TFT console that gets a host of connectivity options Then, there are five riding modes, cornering ABS, wheelie control, cornering traction control, rear lift-off control, cruise control, slope-dependant control, glide-through function, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a bi-directional quickshifter. If that wasn’t enough, buyers can also opt for the Dynamic Pro kit that offers dynamic stability control and a climate control seat.
