Suzuki Inazuma GW250 spied in Mumbai

Just few days ago, we got you the news of Suzuki India launching its quarter- litre motorcycle, the GW250 next month and  now we have  few images of the bike resting at a bike workshop in Mumbai. This bike isn’t an import but a company registered bike. Its registration number shows that it’s registered to Suzuki’s Haryana plant.

The GW250 is inspired from its bigger sibling, the B-king and carries over many design cues from it. Overall, the motorcycle has more of big commuter bike design that might not go well with fully-faired or naked-bike-crazy Indians.

The bike gets a 248cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 26bhp at 8500rpm and torque of 24.2Nm. This engine is known for low and mid-range power with pretty decent fuel efficiency. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 182kgs which is quite heavy for a 250cc naked motorcycle. One main feature that no other motorcycle in the segment offers right now is the dual exhaust. The Mahindra Mojo concept featured the dual exhaust as well but not sure if the production model will get the same.

The Suzuki Inazuma GW250 will be sold in India through the completely-knocked-down (CKD) route and we are expecting it to be priced in the range of Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh.  We feel it’s too late for this bike to arrive in India as there are already many established bikes like the KTM Duke 390 and the  Honda CBR250R in that segment. The company has to do more than just pricing the bike right.
