Limited-Edition KTM 1290 Super Duke R in the making

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R is possibly one of the fastest roadsters on the planet. But it looks like, there will be a better version of it soon. 

According to rumours, KTM is working on a high spec 1290 Super Duke R which will sit on the top of the overall line-up. This bike is likely to be a limited-edition with just 500 units on sale. This KTM is expected to be a whopping 8kgs lighter than the stock bike. So that means, we are bound to see lots of carbon fibre bits along with a track exhaust system.  

We can also expect lighter wheels, levers and pegs along with air ducts and tail tidy. There’s still no information if this will be a track only bike, but expect it to be positioned that way. KTM is bound to ask a lot of premium for this bike and it being a limited edition model, expect it to be booked in a matter of days.
