Localised Ninja 300 sets Kawasaki’s sales chart on fire

Kawasaki had a great 2018. It managed to sell close to 2600 units helping it grow really well. But the main credit goes to the Ninja 300 ABS, which was launched in the second half of 2018. 

The Japanese maker sold a whopping 823 units of the Ninja 300. This was possible as the company reduced the price drastically in the second half, which was achieved by localising some major components. At the time of launch in July, the body panels, tyres and wheels were locally produced. But over the last few months, the company has localised a few more parts. 

The dealers are also happy with the way the sales have picked up. In fact, due to the Ninja 300 ABS pricing, they have more walk-ins. Plus, they are finding it easier to convert the walk-ins by showing them other Kawasaki bikes, as a few of them are not comfortable with the aggressive riding ergonomics.  

We are expecting Kawasaki to localise more bikes as it’s bound to get them more sales. Plus, they now have a decent vendor base making it easy to product spares in the country.
