2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 launched in India

- Now features a traction control system

- Priced at Rs. 1.42 lakh

- Equipped with OBD2-compliant engine

Yamaha India has launched the 2023 Aerox 155 in India, and it has received a couple of tweaks. Here’s what the latest model has to offer.

Has the 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 received any design changes?

The 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 has retained the sporty design. It features the same split headlight mounted on the front apron and a small visor on the handlebar. The sharp bodywork with creases and cuts also remains unchanged. Moreover, the single-piece seat and central spine are the same as before. One of the welcome changes for the updated model is the new silver paint scheme.

The 2023 Aerox is draped in silver paint with black accents and golden-coloured stickers. The alloy wheels, too, are golden in colour, giving a contrasting effect to the body. Overall, the scooter looks even more handsome in this paint scheme.

What changes have been made to the Aerox 155’s engine?

Similar to the other Yamaha offerings, the 2023 Aerox 155 also adheres to the OBD2 norms. This means it can now monitor real-time emissions. The 155cc liquid-cooled engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) is the same as before and dishes out 15bhp at 8,000rpm with 13.9Nm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.

Are there any changes to the features of the 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155?

An important update for the 2023 Aerox 155 comes in the form of the traction control system. It’s aimed to reduce wheelspin, thereby safeguarding the rider. The LED illumination, digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, side-stand engine cut-off, automatic start-stop, smart motor generator, and ABS have all been carried over as they were.

What sort of hardware does the updated Aerox 155 get?

The 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. Its braking hardware comprises a 230mm front disc and a 130mm drum unit at the rear. The setup is mounted on a 110/80-14 front and a 140/70-14 rear tyre.

How much does the 2023 Yamaha Aerox 155 cost?

Yamaha has priced the latest version of the Aerox 155 at Rs. 1,42,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s now available in four paint schemes, such as Metallic Silver, Metallic Black, Racing Blue, and Grey Vermillion.
