2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V vs old model: Image comparison

The 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V has arrived with several updates over its predecessor. These include mechanical updates to comply with the newest emission norms and new features to further improve the ride experience. Previously, we brought you the top five highlights of the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V. Here, we compare the newly launched variant with its predecessor in images to explain the differences between the two versions.

The overall styling remains similar on both models. Thus, the 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V retains a round headlight, a beak-style front fender, a curvy fuel tank with knee recesses, wire-spoke wheels, and a tall-set exhaust canister.

The graphics and colour palette, too, have been retained from the previous version. However, the company has revised the combination for the Black Sports Red paint theme.

Then, the updates comprise the addition of a new Class-D LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs. The updated setup is claimed to deliver a 230 per cent improved light intensity over the previous model.

The 2023 range also gets a new 60mm taller Rally-style windshield that aims to offer improved windblast protection.

Hero MotoCorp has updated the instrument cluster on the 2023 model to show more data. Thus, the 2023 iteration displays a real-time fuel economy indicator.

Other changes include an updated switchgear, closed-loop type handguards, and an updated luggage plate.

The rider’s triangle has been updated too, and the rider foot pegs are now 35mm lower and 8mm rear set. This setup aims to offer greater control during the standing riding stance with a limited load on the riders’ wrists, and increased leg holding area.

The safety net retains a single-channel ABS. However, the 2023 model comes with three levels of intervention – Road, Off-road, and Rally.

Mechanical upgrades include the addition of a new onboard diagnostic device. It monitors the performance of the catalytic converter and sends notifications about any faults in the system via a malfunction indicator light (MIL). This motor is now E20 fuel compatible as well.
