Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Summary
Husqvarna is originally a Swedish brand that is now owned by KTM. Its products will sit above the Austrian manufacturer’s, and the styling, feature sets and pricing will reflect that.
One of the two new roadgoing products for the brand is the Vitpilen 701. The name means “White Arrow”, and is based on the mental KTM 690 Duke. With 72bhp and at just 148.5kg dry, it will have a power-to-weight ratio that most supercars would envy. It is styled as a café racer, with a sporty riding position, clip-on handlebars, and rearset footpegs. The brakes are sourced from Brembo.
The Vitpilen 701 will make a most interesting alternative to products like the Ducati Scrambler Café Racer and the Triumph Street Triple. However, the odds of it launching in the Indian market are extremely slim.

Vaibhav DesaiPriced around the same range as the svart 401, about 2.8 to 3L ex-showroom, performance would rival that of the 390 duke, more aggressive than the current svart and ideally replace the current svart 401, which will come in with even more scrambler style enhancements and a bigger engine, but perhaps not. The vitpilens positioning currently makes a slight bit of sense, seeing as we have one street style motorcycle and one "scram" style(not really tho), the vitpilen satisfies a lot of tick boxes for people trying to buy the gt650 performance style from KTM itself and have a neo-retro DukeDue to India being a design and price sensitive market, perhaps offering the vitpilen with a customisable side plate(currently its a piano black piece) would do wonders and bringing back the Tyre hugger would significantly position it stylistically along the GT. The most worrisome aspect is its positioning in the own Husqvarna product lining, unless a svart 250 is also introduced.
