The vehicle was good in all respect look, comfortable ride, performance, also. What's my point to suggest to that the spacing given at foot space is not comforting to take away the oil in, which is not possible to anybody because of the smaller space is provided by yourself and also give the vehicle with central stand as that of a bike because the present side stand though easy and comfortable in parking but you also know that people around us sit or stand on the vehicle at that time the stand seems bending a lot which looks it may be broken or damaged any moment. So the legroom is larger as compared to the present and strengthens the side stand and provides the central stand option to your vehicle which will give more strength and space for the middle class to take and carry their baskets easily.

The dealership in Ahmedabad is very well managed. Mr. Vishwa runs the shop well and Nirmal the sales person was very helpful throughout, since I had to get my Atherx delivered to another city- the showroom visit itself is a great experience (reminds you of a Volvo dealership visit in the west).
The scooter was delivered on time.
Riding the Atherx is a stellar experience. They have managed to get almost everything right.
I love the look, performance, charging. It is a quiet ride (to be expected); the speed pick up is super.
A few suggestions : Increase the number of dealerships as you go, try to increase the single charge distance covered to 100 km. a few additional color options will also help going forward.
I have not had the opportunity to service it yet.

If you are planning to buy an Ather scooter, please think twice. The scooter may look premium, but the after-sales support is extremely poor and unreliable.
It has been only 4 months since I bought the scooter and the belt has already come off and started slipping. I had already given the scooter for its first service, expecting that any issue would be checked and fixed. But the service center failed to diagnose anything and returned it saying “everything is fine, all parts are good.”
Soon after, the issue became serious. When I took it back, I was told to wait 5 days because they do not have the belt in stock. The scooter has now been lying in the service center for 2 days, and I still have no update, no response, no urgency.
If this is happening within 4 months, I genuinely fear what more problems I will have to face in the coming months and years. And more importantly, how many excuses I will have to listen to from the service team. At this rate, I don’t know how many days, weeks, or even months the scooter will have to spend in the service center each time something goes wrong.
If this is your only vehicle, you will suffer. You will be left stuck, waiting, and helpless — because service support is slow, careless, and uncommitted.
It clearly feels like Ather is only bothered about selling their scooters, not about supporting customers after purchase.
Honestly, traditional petrol bikes are far more reliable. They don’t make you regret your investment.
Think very carefully before choosing Ather. The real problems begin after the purchase, and that’s where Ather fails the most.

I bought Ather 450 two days back today, the scooter does not start, they are not responding I have been standing on the road for 3 hours they don’t care about customer time value and problem.
Service is very bad; don’t buy Ather after-sales. They don’t give service, they don’t bother the customer with time and problem, big big no to Ather.

I strongly advise new customers to think twice before purchasing an Ather vehicle. My experience with their after-sales service has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite the vehicle being under warranty, every time I approached them for repairs, they tried to shift the blame onto me to avoid providing free service.
Recently, my vehicle required a simple software update. I personally rode it to the service centre in working condition. However, it took them three full days just to inspect the issue. Eventually, they informed me that I needed to pay a hefty amount for repairs, even though the vehicle is still within the warranty period. This is not just about the money — it’s about how the company tries every possible way to deny warranty claims.
Currently, my vehicle is still at the service centre. I’ve raised multiple support tickets, but none have been resolved. Instead, they are being closed without any proper communication or solution. Calls to the service centre go unanswered, and even when I manage to reach someone, I receive no clear updates.
The customer support team appears to have only three responses: “Sorry,” “Thank you,” and at the end of the call, a request to rate them 5 out of 5 — despite providing no resolution.
What’s the point of switching to an EV if I end up paying over ₹15,000 for repairs within just two years — and that too during the warranty period? Ather lacks empathy and customer focus. Their current approach feels like they are finding new ways to harass customers rather than support them.
I regret my decision to purchase an Ather vehicle, and I hope others are cautious before making the same mistake.
