Triumph Street Twin EC1 listed on India website ahead of launch

- Listed as “coming soon” on Indian website

- Gets a special paint theme

- To be available for a limited period

Triumph Motorcycles India has updated its website with the limited-edition Street Twin EC1 ahead of its launch in our market. The special-edition model is listed as “coming soon” on the Indian website although the launch details are not available yet. This special-edition model will be produced in limited numbers and it will be available for one year only.

The limited-edition Street Twin EC1 is distinguished from the standard motorcycle through its unique paint scheme. The retro-style motorcycle uses a dual-tone Matte Aluminium Silver and Matte Silver Ice colour for the fuel tank along with hand-painted silver coach lining, dedicated EC1 graphics, and the Triumph logo. The side panels use a Matte Silver Ice paint and feature a new Street Twin Limited Edition graphic while the front and rear mudguards get Matte Aluminium Silver finish.

The changes are limited to styling upgrades. The mechanical specifications and the feature list, on the other hand, remains similar to the standard model. Thus, the Street Twin EC1 retains dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control system, two ride modes (Rain and Road), under-seat USB charger, and an immobiliser incorporated into the key.

The motorcycle also retains the Euro5-compliant 900cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder motor that produces 64.1bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox that benefits from a torque assist clutch.

This new variant will carry a price premium over the standard Street Twin that is available from Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India) onwards.
