The Triumph Speed 400 recently made its global debut in London, UK. The modern retro roadster is the smallest offering in Triumph’s Speed lineup and is joined by its sibling, the Scrambler 400 X. Although the motorcycles are yet to be launched in India, Triumph has revealed the accessories package for both bikes. In this article, let’s take a quick look at the list of accessories available for the Speed 400.
The company offers over 25 Triumph Genuine accessories for the Speed 400 to enhance its style and add versatility to the bike. Just like Royal Enfield, customers can get the accessories factory-fitted to the motorcycle via its ‘Make It Yours’ program. These accessories are designed by the same engineers that designed the Speed 400 and come with the same two-year unlimited mileage warranty.
The accessories are divided into three subcategories – Style and Comfort, Luggage, and Protection. Following is the list of accessories available in each category.
Style and Comfort Accessories
It includes the LED bullet indicators that add a touch of class with their machined aluminium bezels and satin black bodies. You also get different knee pads and a quilted seat to enhance the overall styling of the Speed 400.
Moreover, you can also opt for a twin silencer to add a fresh look to the motorcycle. The silencer comes with a replacement heat shield.
Luggage Accessories
You can also enhance the versatility of the Triumph Speed 400 by adding a few luggage options to the mix. These include a single-side rugged pannier mount, a semi-rigid top box, a luggage rack, a nylon tank bag, and a nylon roll bag.
The top box comes with a 30-litre capacity and has a 5kg payload. It can accommodate a full-face helmet and is expandable to 35 litres. It gets a quick-release mounting mechanism, but you need a separate luggage rack to fit the top box.
There’s also a fully waterproof roll bag with a 30-litre capacity and a payload of 3kg. On the other hand, the strap-mounted tank bag has a capacity of 8.5 litres.
You also get a 20-litre rugged pannier mount, which can only be mounted on the left side. It includes a key lockable mounting system for added security and has a payload capacity of 5kg.
Protection Accessories
Under the Protection category, Triumph offers a number of accessories to help you protect the Speed 400 from the elements.
These include a fly screen for wind deflection, a steel mesh radiator guard, a headlight grille and bezel, and an aluminium sump guard. There’s also a stylish tank pad, a GPS tracker kit, and upper and lower engine protection bars.
